Diana Rigg is wonderful in the new series of Game Of Thrones.

Natalie Dormer who plays her granddaughter does look rather like a young Diana !

Yes! I really enjoyed their scenes together in s4...

Recently unearthed archive of pictures at the BFI includes one of Diana Rigg:

Both excellent links. Where is the "Case of the Missing Corpse' from? (shown in Franky's link.)

I agree Margo, great links - lovely new interview with Diana. Her fabulous verbal duels for supremacy with Cersei, Littlefinger and High Sparrow (Jonathan Price) in Game of Thrones are superb. I've never seen any of those wonderful icons of the sixties pictures before. Many thanks Frank and Mariocki Smile

Thanks for the info. Smile I'm very tempted to attend this. I've been waiting for Diana to tread the boards in the West End as I've never seen her on stage, but it is a few years since she did so and I'm not sure if she will do so again. Unless anyone out there knows more Exclamation This talk should be interesting though. Anyone else thinking of going Question Rich.

Truly amazing. I never thought she would ever talk about TA given her attitude. Wonder what changed? Any thoughts? Not sure if Patrick passing away had an effect but not sure why that would change her mind anyway. If you go please let us know any juicy tidbits Rich.

I also never thought I'd see the day when Diana would give a talk about her time on The Avengers. Diana has admitted to her being influenced by the more snobby elements of the theatre in the past, but people's attitude today is very different to The Avengers. To be fair to Diana though, she has said journalists would ask her about The Avengers and nothing else, even many years later. If I do attend, and I really hope I make it, I'll report back here. Smile Rich.

This is a surprise. I've been away changing providers and a major development takes place. Let's hope that this a permanent change of attitude towards the series by Diana. I'm sure she'll get a standing ovation, just for attending such an event.

It's interesting that despite all of her achievements, a lot of people still associate her with TA. I guess that must be frustrating for her. Anyway that would be delightful to hear any tidbits you have. Would love to hear in detail. Many thanks Rich. Laughing

It's likely that a recording of the panel (or at least part of it) will go up on the BFI website after the event.

This is really incredible news... I can almost feel an urge to travel 3000 miles for this, but I guess I won't. Would have been really cool to see this in person though!

I agree, fabulous news.
I wish I could attend. I'd love to see The House That Jack Built on the BFI big screen - I was just watching it the other day and thinking this episode really engenders an incredibly wide-range of emotional and physical action and reaction - sublimely acted, and a tour de force by Dame Diana.

I'm sure she'll get a standing ovation - I saw Honor Blackman at the Sage in Gateshead in 2011 receive a standing ovation when she talked about her time on The Avengers and Goldfinger when she narrated a James Bond music concert

25th October 2015, the 50th anniversary of the beginning of series 4 - will also coincide with the premiere of the new Bond film, Spectre on 26th October, 2015, so she might mention On Her Majesty's Secret Service too.

A report on the forum would be great Smile hope there's also a recording of the event.

Super excited to see her attending this screening and talking about her experiences. When I posted the press release on SPY VIBE (http://spyvibe.blogspot.com/2015/09/diana-rigg-screening.html) I noticed the BFI's photo was titled '50th anniversary', so maybe her own 50th on the series has turned out to be the right time to connect with her Avengers past? I'm tempted, of course, to travel to see her, but the cost would be crazy from CA.

But to my pals in the UK, I WILL be there during the last week of March to lead a school trip to see literary sites in London and Stratford Upon Avon. Hopefully I'll have a window so we can visit Smile

By the way, I'm also loving listening to Diana's Desert Island Discs interview at last! Actually an interesting window into her character off-camera.
