Too bad I won't be in France then, because I'm too busy with Uni. Otherwise I would've loved to come!

Hope you have an enjoyable meeting. I was in Paris in the summer with my wife and a couple of friends. Had a great time, as always. J'aime paris!

Out of interest, is the Huitieme Art shop still in existence, Denis? I'd forgotten where it was and didn't find it this time.

Sadly, the Huitième Art shop doesn't exist any more.
I managed to get the 8ième Art Avengers books from e-bay !

That's a shame. It was a veritable treasure trove for Avengers and Prisoner fans, slap bang in the heart of Paris. They produced some beautiful books. Sorry to hear they're gone.

Thanks to 8ièmeArt, French Avengers fans discovered Deadline and Dead duck in French in the 90s (Martin Winckler's translations).

Really? I wasn't aware of that. Decent books, too. Much better than the rubbish that followed.

French titles are L'article de la mort (deadline) and Canards mortels (Dead duck).

After reading your posts about this, I searched for the 8emeArt Avengers book on amazon and ebay, but could find nothing. I also googled it and did find a Frech website, but I couldn't really navigate my way around it. I'm very curious to know what this book is like....

I think the idea of an Avengers "Art" book is a good one. But I suppose that everything depends upon the the type and quality of images they have used. In short.....what's the book like? Is it any good? What sort of format does it have? And what does it contain?
