I ordered through Calvacade on play.com at the price of about £23.99, but this was for Series 6, and the Forget Me Knot episode was high pitched. _________________ "Mrs Peel, we're needed" |

Good news regarding S5. I shall probably go ahead and order. I got S4, fixed and fine, from Cavalcade last week.
Now just S6's "Legacy of Death" needs confirmation of being fixed in the stand-alone set! _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |

I ordered the Series 5 DVD's from Amazon.co.uk when they came back in stock but when I received them, they were the V2 discs. It's been two weeks since I have sent my replacements back, so I better start emailing Optimum, I guess. |

I was lucky enough to get the V3 fixed versions a week or so ago (from Cavalcade of DVDs on Amazon). Now just the season 6 to get, hopefully they'll sort out Legacy of Death - I'm not ordering before they at least have a replacement programme for it! _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |

Actually received email from Optimum that they sent my replacements out, so I can expect them any day now, hopefully. |

It's worth pointing out that Optimum appear to have been completely consumed by Studio Canal now, so it's possible the old email addy is dead or at least no longer reliable (if it ever was).
See this page for updated details:

Could someone remind me of what I need to check to see if it is the corrected version? Which discs were affected? _________________ Le Monde des Avengers |

Hi everyone, this is my first post.
Some very nice person has offered to buy me series 5 as a Christmas present, before they order it I would like to know if all the technical issues have been corrected. It seems on Amazon that it's pot luck on whether you are supplied with a duff or perfect copy.
Any updates?
Thanks. |

I imagine that sets should be ok by now. Especially the first 5 series' sets.
www.Play.com have a marketplace of sellers.. Cavalcade are usually the cheapest around to buy from and have corrected series 5 sets. |

I’ve just received the DVD set season 5 ordered from amazon.uk last week and there is no V sign at all on any of the DVD! I'm quite disappointed ! How to detect straight away if the DVDs are the right ones? Where are the signs supposed to be? Is it possible to still find faulty products? What is the exact address to send the products in case of default? Have the people with the same experience sent only the DVDs or the cases altogether? Thanks for giving me advice. _________________ Le Monde des Avengers |

If they are the corrected discs they will have V3 on the shiny side of the disc on the inner ring, it should be after OPT(disc no) and then say V3 layer.
It not try watching them and see! |

Ouah, thanks, norw27. So, it is not as for season 4 after 'sold in the UK by Optimum Releasing' but on the inner side of the DVDs! I’ve just in the hands disc 5 and it is written: ‘OPTD1751/5 V3 LAYER 1 072129 DVD9’. So, V3 layer seems to be okay. Thanks for answering so quickly. I was preparing a letter of complaint… _________________ Le Monde des Avengers |

I got this and the four reconstructions give a really good idea about the stories of the missing episodes (compared to reading the plots). I'm looking forward to seeing 'The Avengers A Retrospective' particularly because of Patrick Macnee's involvement. Can't believe this has passed me by so long. Great DVD set. _________________ Ron
