Could the grey disc not simply be season one (or what's left of it)?

I imagine the discs are the same as the individual box sets. There hasn't been a grey/silver disc issued and it's described as a bonus disc with exclusive material.

It has been established that the bonus disc contains exclusive content, not in the standard sets.

Ouch. Just another loving kick in the stomach for the those of us buying the original releases.

It would be nice if the gray disc were available to purchase separately. A & E, when they reissued the Emma Peel box set in slimline cases, sold the bonus disc separately for those who didn't want to re-purchase the entire set.

somehow, I doubt-at least for the moment, the grey disc being offered for sale. Perhaps when the box set runs it's (sales) course...

hopefully, I'm wrong about this !

I think, as you say (mousemeat), the bonus disc is the sweetener to buy the boxed set. They may issue is separately - that's how I got my bonus disc from the Emma Peel Megaset, but I wouldn't bet on it (just yet).

It all depends upon what's on the mysterious gray disc. If it has something really good, such as unseen footage, I'd spring for the whole box (ouch!) if necessary; otherwise I'll pass.

I hope you guys aren't going to be upset when the blurays come out, and I am thinking sooner rather than later since the remasters were done in high def.

I can't wait for the 2011 blurays of Emma and Tara.

There really is no guarantee of Blu-rays at all.

Reading about this set has now convinced me to sell my A&E box sets.

I wouldn't be upset as I don't own a bluray player - although if The Avengers were released on bluray it might encourage me to buy one!

I sold mine as soon as the Optimum sets starting coming out. What's the point of keeping sets with zero extras and inferior image quality, as well as inferior graphics?

With respect, it's standard practice for companies to repackage individual releases into complete series boxes.

true...but as an fan and consumer, we do have the say in
whether or not we purchase ..

I would consider selling my A & E Emma mega set...if the right set came along

Well of course. I wasn't suggesting otherwise.

Does anyone else think that 150 Pounds is a bargain?

It's a good saving over the cost of the individual sets, certainly.
