This series has a wonderful freshness to it and a terrific colour palette which no doubt will look gorgeous after it's remastering. It's also the series with lots of location footage which adds a great deal of depth to the stories. I'm completely biased though as i love Linda Thorson and that marvellous summery opening title sequence (with IMHO the best variant of the theme music!)

Roll on December 6th Very Happy

Totally agree!

Although I think I do prefer the original shooting gallery titles, love your

It looks superb, Paul.

After season 3, this has been my most anticipated boxset. Can't wait especially to hear commentaries from directors Fuest and Hough.

Thanks very much chaps.
There's lots of little Avenger styled animated "stings" and idents on that release - hope you like them Smile

As for series six ... i particularly love Tara's completely off the wall flat. I'm not sure about the shocking pink carpets but i love the rest of it. I moved to London as a teen thinking everyone lived in places like that. I ended up on a council estate in Barking. I was wrong Very Happy

Yes, it's getting very close to December 6th now, and there's no sign of the release date being "shunted back" again.
So it's looking good for a feast of watching remastered Tara episodes over the Christmas & New Year holidays. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

That's what I'm planning too! Some of the best ever Avengers episodes, plus reconstructions of four of the lost series one episodes, Christmas & New Year TV viewing couldn't get any better. Very Happy

I'm making use of having only had half a day at work.

My boxset came today.

I've watched the extras on disc 1.

As for the episodes themselves, I've only had a taster of Curious Case and Invasion of the Earthmen.

Now, unless I'm mistaken.

I'm hearing a deep voiced Macnee.

Patrick's voice doesn't sound quite right - a bit ... synthetic? Auto-tuned?

Linda sounds fine.

Having listened to so many samples at differing pitches I have no idea what they're meant to sound like now!

I agree Linda sounds fine, Patrick sounds a little tinny(!?)

Here's the next sample

I recorded the previous sample with my computers 7.1 audio but this one is done with the stereo setting.

Incidentally The Forget Me Knot appears to have the series 5 thing - Linda Thorson especially sounds very girly.
