Super! Thanks! Would you mind if I shared them with my Diana Rigg group and Avengers Suburbia? Of course, I will say from whom they came! I believe in that whole-heartedly! |

Those are fun. I like Steed the best. He looks terribly satisfied with himself. _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

Or when he makes a naughty remark to Cathy. |

I would like to do a picture of Cathy - I do realise how important she is to the show. I've sort of roughed one out, but it may have to wait for a bit.

*grins*...I'm glad that you like them. I actually find Steed very difficult to draw. It's a question of getting the clothes right - or as near to "right" as I possibly can. Plus I find his face quite difficult, too. Emma is actually easier - by which I mean that she emerges more quickly on the page than Steed does.

That's fine, Barry. I was actually thinking of asking you if it would be possible to set up a Fan Art folder in your group's Photos gallery, so that I - and others who might produce stuff - could have a proper place to post our fan art.
If you like, I could set up the folder and post my stuff myself, but if you would like to do it, then that would be really nice, too.

Oooh. Like Steed and his lime green suit. Very Bryan Ferry. Steed's often the easier character to draw in comics, I notice, while Emma suffers, so if you find Emma easy, you're one up on a lot of artists. (I can only draw cartoon ducks, myself, but no one seems interested in seeing Emma with a beak. )
Oh, and I like you deviantart name--Wednesday Week. I'm guessing you're a Dirk Gently fan? _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

Try the golden/yellow suit version on for size:

I've also written some nice comments about Patrick (Macnee) beneath the picture. They came to me whilst I was drawing it...I hope you like those, too.
I'm sorry to sound lame....but I don't know who Dirk Gently is - was he a character written by Douglas Adams?
WednesdayWeek I made up all on my lonesome - only later did I discover that The Undertones released a single called "WednesdayWeek" and that there is an indie band somewhere in the world with the same name... |

Oh please do |
I now realise that Honor Blackman created and laid down the template which the later Avengers' girls followed. In other words, her contribution to the show was fundamental - and she certainly deserves a picture. The trouble is - my own television memories of The Avengers beginning with the Emma Peel era - I am not as familiar with her character as I am with the others, so the room for error is that much greater. But I promise that I will try to do one of her at some point.
Please take a look at the yellow/gold suit version of my previous picture:

*laughs*...Patrick always looks as though he gets on very well with his leading ladies - lucky fellow, if you ask me.

Yes, Dirk's a Douglas Adams character, his protagonist for his other series of books. In Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, there's a Michael Wenton-Weakes, dubbed "Wednesday Week" by his old school friends. He hates it. If you like Douglas, you might want to check it out.
Oh, and Steed's new suit is very shiny! _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?
