Well, that's because the title sequences were built from the December 1960 publicity shoot around Soho. _________________ Alan

First casting has been announced - Colin Baker to play Keel's surgery partner, Dr Tredding. Nice casting.
Colin is best known as the sixth Doctor Who. _________________ Alan

Brilliant! The Sydney Newman cross-pollination continues. This is the other half of the exchange for having Diana appear in Who.
I wonder if this means that Dr. Tredding is going to make more appearances in the series outside of Hot Snow, as opposed to being relegated to the odd mention here and there like his TV counterpart (I was sad to read that was the case after I saw Snow for the first time). Given that they've cast someone relatively well-known, I suspect he's going to be around a bit more.
If they're going to start with the secondary character casting, bring on Carol Wilson! _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

Don't think so. I've spoken to John Dorney who is adapting the scripts, and he says he's sticking to what's on the page as much as humanly possible, so I don't think he'll be adding in Dr Tredding spots for Colin. _________________ Alan

Too bad. I was hoping he'd pop up to exchange the odd line or two at the surgery. That said, it's encouraging that they're getting this kind of casting even for the one-off parts. _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

At least Tredding is in episode 2 as well ("Brought to Book"). They must be doing that one, as scripts survive and it resolves the question of Peggy's assassin, even if the big boss is never caught. _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |

Well this continues to be never ending pleasant surprises. That is very fortunate to have a Dr. Who on our team. _________________ "He likes his tea stirred anti-clockwise." |

Second bit of casting news, Sophie Aldred, another former Doctor Who star. I'm presuming she's playing Carol Wilson. _________________ Alan

Either Carol or Peggy, definitely. I doubt they'd cast her for some small part like the drug addict Keel runs into at the other Dr. Treading's office.
I hope not absolutely everyone winds up being from Who, as it could end up overshadowing the series as an Avengers project. Lots of Who actors do audio, though, especially with Big Finish, so I suppose they're obvious choices. Lots of great British actors do voicework, though, so hopefully they'll branch out a bit. _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

Sophie's a very capable actress who has been doing an awful lot since Who, though - she plays a couple of the main voices on the kids show "Tree Fu Tom" including the lead (male!) character and the villainous mushroom woman So I am sure she can do the RP accent required for either Peggy or Carol. _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |

She's playing neither apparently. A guest role in Episode 3.
The Doctor Who casting is clearly a way of getting Big Finish's customer base (which is predominantly into Doctor Who) to consider these releases.
Kind of hoping that Steed and Keel are not Who names. _________________ Alan

It would appear that the actors for Steed and Keel got dressed up today.
John Dorney (adaptor) tweeted:
Just seen Steed and Keel suited up ready to Avenge. They look and sound perfect. |
