Just ordered a paperback from Lulu - with a move imminent I need to cut down on my large size books.Smile

It'll probably be a while before I read it as I've already got four books on the go presently.

My paperback copy arrived, very quickly, on Tuesday and have been enjoying it immensely.

Lulu have done a superb job, nice clear text layout, the crisp white borders and the dazzingly colourful, beautifully designed, high contrast, slightly embossed, central motif cover give the book a bright, very classy look.
You can almost hear the theme when looking at the cover.

The Lulu paperbacks are far better quality than the Amazon ones: thicker covers, thicker paper. Unfortunately, 99% of readers end up buying the inferior Amazon version. Admittedly, the contents are the same read...

My Lulu paperback arrived this morning with a heavy thud through the letterbox. It's very professional looking as one has come to expect. I look forward to reading it.Smile

It's text only, studio canal copyright makes photos an expensive addition.

For those people asking why the book has been unavailable today from both Lulu and Amazon, I took it offline to add a dedication to Patrick Macnee.

I've only just started this one but it's a really good read. I think it might be our best yet. I haven't watched the NA for ages but I'm getting pangs.

Finally got mine and have started reading through it! Excellent so far. I really like the opportunity to see different perspectives on episodes from more in-depth analysis - TNA is so often overlooked, and it's great to see it treated with the seriousness that it deserves.

My one quibble is that the editors argue with the authors' points via the end notes at the end of essays. It seems to undermine the analysis, rather than allowing the reader to make up his/her mind about the relative merits of the essay. I find it a little biased.

You're probably right, Lauren. Maybe the volumes would be better without the endnotes. Some readers like them, but for the authors they're probably irritating.

No they wouldn't have been better Rodney- the endnotes (in the opinion of this author) almost always enhanced the chapters.

It's a minor thing at most - I just noticed that in some of the endnotes it's not the editor adding an extra point (like an historical footnote or piece of information), but directly arguing with the author's perspective. It got me a little bit in my essay, as several of the notes appear to arguments about something that I actually addressed - and I noted it in several other essays as well. Hardly breaks the back of the essay, though.
