I was watching The Twilight Zone, season 1 from 1959 Friday night. Episode 10 was titled Judgement Day. The story takes place on a British merchant ship plying the seas in 1942. About half way through, a British ship officer appears for a short scene. It was Patrick MacNee. Those behind the scenes that were involved in this episode went for some authentic British presence in this scene.

The Twilight Zone is a highly regarded science fiction/fantasy show that aired in America for 4 or 5 years, starting in 1959.

Even more significant is an episode of the cult series "One Step Beyond". It features Patrick Macnee in a major role of an episode about the Titanic sinking.

But most significant of all is a big packet of almonds.

Also, "A Night To Remember" which is another story about a big boat sinking. Honor Blackman is in that one. And very good it is too.
