Burt Kwouk, who played in three Avengers episodes, Kill the King (1961), Lobster Quadrille (1964) and The Cybernauts (1965) died today aged 85. Crying or Very sad

Famous Cato in Pink Panther series (I was fan of these films since childhood) started career in 1950s, and appered in many famous movies and TV serials, including James Bond films, TV serials: Danger Man, The Saint, Doctor Who, The Champions, etc.

In our memory he will remain as one of the most talented interest actors on the big and small screen.
Goodbye Cato, Goodbye Tusamo, Goodbye Lin Futu. Crying or Very sad

Awww, I fell in love with Burt ever since him making me laugh as Cato as a child. It was a joy whenever he showed up in anything. He just came across as such a lovely guy.

A sad loss but a great legacy.

Splendid actor, always highly watchable. I'd harboured a dream that he might return to The Avengers and play a character in the Big Finish adaptation of Kill the King, which of course he'd featured in originally. Sadly it wasn't to be.

I had the pleasure of seeing him interviewed on stage four years ago in Borehamwood - sadly several of the actors who shared that stage have also died since then (Frances Matthews, Ray Lonnen, Barry Jackson) and now Burt Kwouk (who was ever so entertaining on the night) has joined them.

A sad day indeed.

Very sad news.
A fine versatile actor. I remember him as Mr Ling who masterminded Goldfinger's bomb for Fort Knox in Goldfinger, as Tusamo in The Cybernauts, Spectre No. 3 in You Only Live Twice and from Mogul, The Saint, The Champions and The Pink Panther movies.

Heard this today while driving around. Another sad loss in this terrible year. So many celebrities are leaving in 2016! Sad Cato is such an iconic character, and I still smile when I recall Peter Sellers being interviewed on TV in the 70s, and Burt charging onto set as Cato, resulting in Sellers defending himself in character as Clouseau. Smile RIP Burt.

Will be greatly missed. Can't say I ever worked with Burt Kwouk, though over the years I did pass him in the corridor a couple of times at the studio where I used to work. I remember once I was phoning someone on behalf of the casting director and unexpectedly it was Burt who answered the phone, so we had a brief chat. Sad news.

One of the few Asian actors to break through in British film & television.
Always a pleasure to watch, he will be greatly missed.
