I was also thinking about guessing on one episode in different languages if there are some that are tricky enough. this Dutch quiz looks great! What a great idea Denis! _________________ "He likes his tea stirred anti-clockwise." |

I'll be ready to create the game about guessing on one episode in different languages after Dutch quiz! Just at the time I did only a partial list of episode names from South Korea and Israel.
There're also the names in some countries that I can not guess - but it will be the other game. We'll be together to think that they can mean - which episodes. There is a lot of fun. _________________ Russian fan-site Steedumbrella.

Cheers, dear fans, Olga Svecharnik, Avengers fan who lives in Israel, just informed me about how sounds the episode title "The Gravediggers" into English, when it was transmitted in Israel on Hebrew. Problem was that Jewish signs (letters) in the TV program were vague and I could not correctly identify them. Now...
Again the list of titles for The Gravediggers:

I like the foreign titles when they offer a very different angle on the episode, such as The Hour That Never Was becoming The Lost Hour in French. Many French fans prefer the French series title - Bowler Hat and Leather Boots - although I still prefer The Avengers myself. _________________ The Avengers: a product of the sixties and a timeless piece of sublime art |

The French did very creative approach to the names of the episodes, I like many of them. For instance, title "Le fantôme du château De'Ath" (The ghost of the castle De'Ath) adjusts the spectator for the mystical tones in the episode "Castle De'ath", gives quite a different launch pad for perception, or title "Noël en février" (Christmas in February), when watching an episode "Take-Over", more think about the Christmas theme.
I prefer to the original title of the show, too. Although in the series is no often anyone who takes revenge, but the name arranges to certain mood and atmosphere.
From all the other variants of titles for The Avengers, which I find, more liked Japan for color episodes "スパイ(秘)作戦" (Spy secret strategy), Tailand for video era "เพื่อนใจสายลับ" (Spy-friend) and Iceland "Skelegg skötuhjú" (Trenchant twosome).
There are some names that are difficult to associate with the Avengers in whole, such as for example Japanese "ペアで捜せ" (We are looking for a pair) - title in some regions for color episodes.
The names of the series and episodes in other parts of the world are not rarely inventive, this theme is very fascinating. _________________ Russian fan-site Steedumbrella.
