Since September 15, I have been working with Alan Hayes to improve the performers section on the Alan's website Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified)
http://www.randallandhopkirk.org.uk/who_actors_regulars.htm
At the moment were made the following updates, as for the performers appeared in The Avengers and TNA:
1. Roger Avon
Actor, played the headmaster in TNA episode Dead Men Are Dangerous (1977).
Married to dancer Rhoda Oatway from 1955 until his death in 1998.
Information is already posted on IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0043280/bio
2. Anthony Baird
Actor, played 2nd Assistant in Avengers episode Death of a Great Dane (1962) and Wilson in Avengers episode Brief for Murder (1963).
Full name: Antony Broderick Baird
Actually born 1 January 1919 in Hillhead, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland (not December 11, 1920 in London, England, UK).
Information is partly posted on IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0047850/bio
3. Joby Blanshard
Actor, played Joe Mercer in Avengers episode Man-Eater of Surrey Green (1965).
Actually born November 7, 1919 in Beverley, Yorkshire, England, UK (not November 17).
Married:
1. His first marriage, to Carolyn Maldarelli of New York in 1949, lasted only until 1953 and ended in divorce.
2. He remarried in 1956, to Isabel Sutherland (1921-1988), a noted Edinburgh-born singer and of the post-war British Folk Revival and a pioneer of the Lowland Scots unaccompanied style of ballad-singing in London folk clubs. She and Joby became collectors, particularly in the North-East of Scotland, and their recordings are deposited in the Folktrax Archive.
Selective information will soon posted on IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0087609
4. Edward Brayshaw.
Actor, played Fuller in Avengers episode Homicide and Old Lace (1969).
Actually born in Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia (not England, UK).
Died in London, England.
Information will soon posted on IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0106286
5. Michael Coles.
Actor, played Fuller in Avengers episode Homicide and Old Lace (1969).
Actually born August 12, 1934 in London, England, UK (not August 12, 1936 in London, England, UK).
Information will soon posted on IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0171326
6. Ivor Dean.
Actor and playwright.
Ivor played Harbour Officer in Avengers episode The Removal Men (1962), Bates in Avengers episode Dead Man's Treasure (1967) and Ferret in Avengers episode Super Secret Cypher Snatch (1968).
It is erroneously indicated on many sources that he was married to the Canadian actress Patricia Hamilton.
Actually Ivor was married to the British actress Patricia Wordley (1929-2019), who later worked under the stage name Patricia Hamilton.
I already corrected the information on Wikipedia and created a page for British actress Patricia Hamilton on IMDb, separating part of the works (those that were confirmed) from the page of the Canadian actress.

Three years ago I was looking for the information about Max Marquis and the result was in my very first post on this topic.
http://avengersfanforum.s2.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=3302&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
denis rigg wrote: | Max Marquis
Teleplay: Diamond Cut Diamond
Hmm, it may very well be that he was actually born in 1919 and died in 2013, need to check - on moment I have not come to any particular results. |
After careful study, I can confidently say that he was really born in 1919 (not 1925, as erroneously indicated on IMDb and many other sources).
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0549924
Known in Switzerland as a football commentator, he celebrated its 80th anniversary in 1999. He often remembered as in 1923 his father telling him about football match between Bolton Wanderers and West Ham United on 28 April 1923 at the original Wembley Stadium. Max personally become "West Ham United" fan since 1930. In 1938 he was a member of the RAF. Married to Marseillaise.
Where is Max Marquis now? Alas, nothing is known about this for the same reason as, for example, with the person Alpho O'Reilly (production designer, who designed five Avengers episodes in 1961).
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1306020
Yes, it's sad, but Max just disappeared without a trace.
His colleague, Jean-Jacques Tillmann (1935-2015), Swiss sports journalist, said following:
https://www.24heures.ch/vivre/societe/gare-vevey-jeanjacques-tillmann-regarde-passer-terre-entiere/story/15089433
"...When Margaret (wife of Jean-Jacques) died, I had Max on the phone, I felt a break, and then he disappeared. No more news. Nothing. I tried to find him, there was police research, but to no avail. And nobody knows anything."

It's hard to say at the moment. I studied David several times and concluded that he either took an important position in the Equity or went to the USA in 1975, as there was an actor with the same name there at the same time, although a different David is played in the 1977 film Fight for Your Life (checked personally). Nevertheless, there is no denial that our David could not have been the one who played there in the theater and then could return to Great Britain, for example, or go somewhere else. As I find out something, I will post here. _________________ Russian fan-site Steedumbrella.
