We've had enough rain for a while, but I certainly hope you get some. It sounds like you desperately need it, and I hate the thought of forests being destroyed anywhere. |
We had three at once last summer, and had to be evacuated. With spring coming so early, and everything drying out, everyone's starting to worry were going to have another batch.
But back to the calendars. Makes a handy wallpaper when you can just look at your desktop to remember what day it is. _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

Hearing that, I understand everyone's concerns. I sure hope the weather is more cooperative this year - for you, and in all the other areas that are prone to having fires.
As for the calendars, for me they come in handy either on screen or printed out. When I can get to the libarary in time, I like to print them out, and just slip them into one of those little sheet protectors (like for school assignments, presentations, etc). That way, not only are they protected, they already have a hole to hang them from. _________________ TheCountess

I'm hoping the fires hold off for just a few more months. I don't plan on being around here for much longer, anyway.
Oh, yes, they'd work very well slipped into a page protector. I don't have any wall space left, though. _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

Lovely! Although I always think of the Tara King-era as the most Spring-like Avengers, this is still beautifully done. _________________

Thank you so much, Dandy!
I'm afraid I'm only familiar with the Steed & Peel series - at least so far. _________________ TheCountess

Something I made up for a lazy wet Friday afternoon. I hadn't thought to make it into wallpaper so the size will be wrong.
- all the best,

...a little too blue for me, but thanks for sharing that Dandy!
Sorry I haven't posted recently. I haven't been doing too well over the past several months (broken rib & other health issues), so I'm way behind with a lot of my emails and group postings.
Anyways, I was going to add direct links to some new goodies, but my computer isn't being cooperative - no images want to show up now. Maybe there was too much blue for my computer too.
If anyone is interested, just click on the links below, and have fun exploring. _________________ TheCountess

I need to keep practicing, Countess! She looks like a tuppenny tart with all that make up. Not the effect I was going for. I'll keep trying ...
Hope you're feeling better. I'm an admirer of your wallpapers. _________________

LOL! ...glad you didn't take my comment the wrong way.
Thanks for your wishes too. I've slowly been healing, but I'm still not feeling half as good as I'd like - recently been diagnosed with osteopenia & emphysema besides the healing rib.
As for the wallpapers, thank you so much for your compliment.
Trying to make them can be very time-consuming and you wouldn't believe how many I just scrap. The most time I've ever spent on a single wallpaper was about 13 hours. I think I've been creating fan art for about the past 8-10 years (on and off), and what I have to work with is really primitive. I've got an old version of Paint, and just recently started to retouch things with Picassa photo viewer.
What kind of art program are you using? _________________ TheCountess

I use whatever's easy to use and, most importantly, free. Like yourself Paint and Picasa. Try the newest version with Picnik.
I don't like to spend too long figuring out how to use programs and I get bored if it's too complicated.
I also like to get it done quick and don't labour over a pic to get it right and I embrace any faults! Life's too short! _________________
