You really should have been a prop builder, you have the knack to create something from nothing, which is a quality I greatly admire. |

I've always admired people who create. They can be prop builders, artists, writers, etc etc... people with vision and imagination are in my opinion special and the world is a better place for their contributions.
Said my piece now... so I'll go back to talking what I know about... production details and filming locations for The Avengers. |

Bless you, I've always been able to create. My hands have always been far, far superior to my brain. |

Gathered up the rest of what I need over the weekend, so it's time to get back in touch with my feminine side and start some dress making !

Made a custom body frame for her today using a couple of Domino Pizza boxes and brown parcel tape. Then I turned it into a fibre glass shell.

After a trim and sand down I finished off the rest of the body structure using some 2" wooden dowel, pipe insulation foam and brass hooks and rings for the joints.

A quick trundle on the sewing machine this morning and her silk evening gown is starting to take shape, it was a piece of cake

Recreating this tiny silver and pearl broach that she's wearing is proving to be rather more tricky however ..
I've spent hours threading minute beads onto thread with a needle

.. With a few nips and tucks made to the dress, and with the embellishments added, I'd say it's finished

....On to the hands and boots ! |

I've done my best to sculpt the hands as they are on screen, but that said they aren't very clear, however from what you can see of them they look pretty crudely made.

Do you have a colour behind the scenes photograph? |

No Mike, I have no idea how I missed it, but she says it in the episode.
"My red dress with the pearls I think"
"This one dear ?"
Time for a deep breath and a break I think. Back when's she's colour corrected and finished. |

The colour you chose looks how I assume the dress looked - but being in black and white anyway, they could fool the audience and we'd never know if it really was red. |

Very true, but now I'd always know that it was supposed to be red So red it has to be ! Typical that the one outfit I chose to make had to be the one outfit that had its colour referenced on screen Red was the last colour I expected it to be, I tinkered with the idea of gold, even purple, but never red !
