After a quick visit to the pound shop this morning I've managed to finish gathering together all the treasure needed for this project Wink The doner gun is going to take some major customising to match the one on screen, fun to do though. And the Domino boxes will be perfect once they are sized down for the Full Strength, Half Strength containers plus the packet of glass amber beads are spot on for the actual capsules Smile

Mmmmm, there were two of these guns I'm sure of it. Either that or it broke and was repaired later on during filming as the gun in the first half of the episode is different to one in the second half.

Indeed Wink ... And fortuitously I found them both just laying in the kerb on the way to town. A quick sand and a coat of paint and Bob's yer uncle !

I'm moving my Avengers prop builds over to the RPF from today which is probably better suited for this type of creative hobby. Anyone interested in seeing the items I've started here finished, and all future builds can find them there Smile

Oh Ok, of course.

Two solid days modifying that gun by cutting sections away and building up others by cuttig out tiny pieces of plasticard sheet so it matches what's seen on screen has just about done my head in Confused It still needs filling, sanding and coating in resin Rolling Eyes

Rolling Eyes

.... And a quick, rough parts stack-up, just to check that after all that work I'm playing in the right key Wink

You are too kind. I'm off to have a bash at making the Full Strength, Half Strength boxes today. Often I find the simplest things the most difficult to build.

I've been trying to track down a pair of the original make of 60's bike goggles that the production team used for the henchmen that carry the gun. there were many similar styles, but I think the ones used are these, the cross bar over the bridge of the nose is a give away and appears to be specific to this make. they obviously coloured the lens's red.

Thanks Darren, I've surprised myself at just how much there is to build from the series, initially I thought there'd be very little. I'd like to replicate some of the more interesting costumes eventually. A complete Winged Avenger would be fun and a couple of the more way out Emmapeelers Smile

Just the goggles to restore now and add to the display, and then that's my prop replica tribute to The Forget-Me-Knot finished Smile

Just amazing as always Ian! Did I read that you7 plan to make EmmaPeelers? Do you sew as well? They look rather challenging but my favorite fashion of the show of course.

Are you sure you're not a diabolical mastermind Ian? I could swear that gun might really work....
Cool

That's very generous, thank you.
Yes you did, I'm a bit of a 'Jack of all trades and master of none', so I wouldn't say I can sew exactly, but I can boot up a sewing machine. I am going to make a couple of Emmapeelers, but probably not until the deep mid winter when the weather really is too bad to get outside and airspray etc. That's also when I'm going to complete the Winged Avenger costume I began earlier in the year. I've a couple of things that I've started and want to finish before that, and a few props I really want to start in November from Too Many Christmas Trees Smile
