Very sad news, dear Avengers fans, world champion wrestler, master of martial arts, iconic actor and teacher Joe Robinson (Tiger Joe) died peacefully in Brighton, on 3rd July 2017, aged 90, after a short illness. Crying or Very sad

Joe was famous master of judo and wrestling, participated in many TV and movie films, have a martial arts centre in Brighton where he lived.

Joe with his brother Doug taught actress Honor Blackman Judo self-defense for The Avengers.

Joe and Honor.

Joe and Doug, together with Honor Blackman co-authored the book "Honor Blackman's Book of Self-Defence" published for first time in 1965.

He also played Max in Avengers episode November Five (1963).

A great loss for his loved ones, for those who followed the world of sport in judo and wrestling, who appreciated the TV and movie with well-placed choreography, who knew him personally, I'm sure.

Rest in peace, Joe, Great man. Crying or Very sad

I first saw Joe in Carry on Regardless as a thick, crybaby boxer who I later learnt did stuntwork on the Avengers.

90 years is a wonderful age to reach.

Thank you for the action, Joe.

RIP
