Not excluded, Piers. Although there are several possible options for who it may be.
[included text removed by moderator]
I hope everything will turn out in the best way soon. For the first time, I felt the lack of a site, given that I am currently working on new bio resumes for Alan Hayes.
Alas, in this way we are quarantined, without Moviedude, without Steedumbrella, without updates at British Newspaper Archive, etc.
2020 is a special year that will go to History. _________________ Denis |

Steven Barnes
Actor
This was mentioned at the least in theatre programme Crown Matrimonial in Forum Theatre, Billingham, by 1974, that Steven participated in The Avengers:
Steven Barnes was born in Buckinghamshire in 1944 and educated at the Merchant Taylor's School. He then did a two year stint in advertising but decided to make the stage his career and entered the Central School of Speech and Drama in 1964. He is a versatile artiste and his stage appearances include principal roles in Caste, Eh? Crucible, Ghosts, Cinderella (Prince Charming), This Story Of Yours, Erb (a musical), Journey's End, Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, Candida and Toad Hall. He is also well-known on television, having appeared in Z Cars and The Avengers. His hobbies are mending old clocks, poetry, cooking, driving, antiques and avoiding all sports except water ski-ing.

Thanks for the information about Steven Barnes - his photo in Spotlight is better than that press clipping and he has dark hair so I know what to look for. _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

I'm glad for, Piers, that Spotlight you have helps a lot. I suspect that Steven appeared somewhere in color episodes (unless of course he was cut out). _________________ Denis |

Cheers, I noticed that British Newspaper Archive returned too - as for regular updates. Habitual things are slowly returning to life. _________________ Denis |

Beryl Martin
Stunt woman, participated in James Bond films and TV.
This was mentioned in the newspaper Marylebone Mercury (12 April 1968), that Beryl participated in The Avengers.
I did a search for information on Beryl (as there is no page with her name on film databases), came to the following conclusion:
Birthname: Beryl Wells
Born: 1934 in Eton, Buckinghamshire, England, UK.
Married on Reuben Joseph Martin (strongman) in 1952. Reub, like Beryl, participated in films and TV.
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0552947/
In the middle 1950s, Reub opened a small rugged upstairs gym in North London, reputed to be the ultimate U.K. hardcore training facility. He and his wife, Beryl, toured night clubs and cruise ship circuits for the following 20 years. Their popular stage presentation was a combination of strength and comedy. Later, they managed Tough Guys Film Stunt Agency, which specialized in strongmen and stuntmen featured in television and films.
Beryl is an expert at water ski-ing. _________________ Denis |

Elaine Rickard
Model, extra and stand-in.
This was mentioned in the newspaper Midweek Observer and Gazette (20 May 1969), that Elaine participated in many Avengers episodes as a stand-in for Linda Thorson and extra.
Curiously, her twin sister Decima Rickard also appeared on the series as Linda Thorson's double and possibly as an extra. Maybe their third sister Linda was also involved?
Full name: Elaine Sally Rickard
Born: August, 1943 in Ilford, Essex, England, UK.
Married on Alastair Maxwell Stoddart in 1969.
Name and information added to IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm12121967/
From the newspaper mentioned above it is revealed that Elaine has also appeared in films such as Casino Royale (1967), Half a Sixpence (1967), Oliver! (1968) and Goodbye Mr. Chips (1969).
So, according to this newspaper, Elaine has appeared in many of the Avengers episodes. In many!!!
I can only assume that Elaine may be in the selected screenshots below.
Wish You Were Here - Guest
Invasion of the Earthmen - Student
But maybe it's her twin Deсima or... _________________ Denis |

Oh my Steed, I just found enough evidence that Maryanne Kerr is actually our Mary Kent (aka Mary Kerr, Paddy Kent and Mary McGirr).
Information here:
http://avengersfanforum.s2.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=3507
My post:
This was mentioned in different newspapers, including The Stage (in 1991), that Maryanne participated in The Avengers. In whole, she not only played bits parts in The Avengers, but designing knit wear in the series.
http://www.ricorso.net/rx/az-data/authors/k/Kerr_M/life.htm
Life
Author of memoir, Over the Mountain (Michael Joseph 1996), which includes a Derry childhood, teacher-training; a disappointment in love in Ballybeg, Co. Donegal; her ‘big break’ in the band scene; high life in Dublin, pregnancy, and removal by parents to Derry, where her baby is handed over for adoption after six weeks; played bits parts in The Avengers; script writing for BBC children’s TV; launched the Bite and Barque in London; much travelled; now divorced; living in London; planning remaining books of trilogy as Over the Sea, then Over the Moon. Mary Kent
Actress, scriptwriter and singer
This was mentioned in Belfast Telegraph (6 September 1968), that Mary participated in The Avengers.
Unfortunately, there is no IMDb page with Mary.
She recorded some singles, released by CBS.
https://www.discogs.com/Mary-Kent-Lost-Generation/release/2384969
Wrote scripts for radio plays and children TV programme Playschool.
In addition, according to the newspapers, she participated in many British TV series, such as "Emergency Ward 10", "Dr. Finlay's Casebook", "Steptoe and Son" and "Cathy come Home".
She was sister of guitarist Eamonn McGirr.
She born as Mary McGirr in Feeney, Ireland and died August 1st, 2015, at St Mary's Hospital, London.
------------------------------------------------------------
Now I found out that Mary Kent and Paddy Kent are one and the same person.
Paddy Kent credited in list of unidentified extras in Avengers episode The Removal Men (1962).

She married on copywriter John Lyons in 1961.

Over the course of time, new clues in Internet are helpful, although some serious detective work is still required. Most of the new clues comes from updates on The British Newspaper Archive. Great datebase.

Trevor Barrie
TV extra, cabaret artist and (actor?).
This was mentioned in the newspaper East Kent Times and Mail (29 May 1964), that 20-year-old Trevor Barrie trained at RADA and has been seen in the I.T.V. programmes "Love Story" and "The Avengers".
I searched the RADA archive and didn't find such a name even close. It is very likely that a certain performer used a different stage name for a certain period, but who it is... is a mystery.
There is a page for Trevor Barrie on the IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0057411/ _________________ Denis |

Anthony Mayne
Actor, extra and compere.
This was mentioned in the newspaper East Kent Times and Mail (7 April 1967), that Anthony Mayne appeared as Swiss detective in "The Avengers" (it is clear that somewhere in the episodes of video era).
Also found mention that he was a frequent face on the small screen, appeared in the soap opera Crossroads, TV series No Hiding Place (as a detective), Softly Softly, The Forsyte Saga (as MP), Wednesday Play's A Brilliant Future Behind Him (as a lawyer) - all of these are not listed on the IMDb for Anthony - etc.

Excellent work! Swiss detective immediately suggested "One for the Mortuary" and I think this is he, as he's in the police chief's office:
