Yes, there is this case with cast photo (accidental mistake). Finally, we are discovering more Alan Stuart through the series. _________________ Denis |

Great! Coincidence that I'm researching this footage on Blu Ray right now and trying to improve the image quality for the driver in Moke in the screenshot below. The quality of your screenshot is the best.
I suspect all these drivers must be from the company Nine Nine Cars (John Wadham, Alan Stuart, Ken Sheppard, brothers Silk, etc). _________________ Denis |

Wow, thanks for this photo, Piers. Virginia in this Spotlight shares similarities with her late look rather than the photo below from 1965 newspaper.

I suspect that newpaper used an old photo of her, she looks quite young there. _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

Yes, looks like young Virginia (newspaper dated by 6 March 1965) compared to the 1968 Spotlight photo. She born in December 1942, and maybe this photo from newspaper was taken sometime in early 1960s when she was 17-19 years old. Although it is possible that these were her early twenties, and this is already the mid-1960s. I personally think about the period 1963-1965. _________________ Denis |

The hairstyle in the newspaper pic is from 1961-63, give or take a year. Backcombing was BIG after Helen Shapiro! _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |

Surprisingly, this was mentioned in TV Times (26 October - 1 November 1968), that Sylvia participated in The Avengers.
It causes strong doubts, although it is possible that she could take part somewhere in the first series by replacing one of the guest actresses, for example (like Anthony Bate replaced Murray Hayne, etc.). |
One of the extras is The Decapod is listed as Ms Symes but I don't see her (and a non-speaking walk-on would be unlikely!) _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

Model, extra and stand-in.
This was mentioned in the newspaper Midweek Observer and Gazette (20 May 1969), that Elaine participated in many Avengers episodes as a stand-in for Linda Thorson and extra.
Curiously, her twin sister Decima Rickard also appeared on the series as Linda Thorson's double and possibly as an extra. Maybe their third sister Linda was also involved?
Full name: Elaine Sally Rickard
Born: August, 1943 in Ilford, Essex, England, UK.
Married on Alastair Maxwell Stoddart in 1969.
Name and information added to IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm12121967/
From the newspaper mentioned above it is revealed that Elaine has also appeared in films such as Casino Royale (1967), Half a Sixpence (1967), Oliver! (1968) and Goodbye Mr. Chips (1969).
So, according to this newspaper, Elaine has appeared in many of the Avengers episodes. In many!!!
I can only assume that Elaine may be in the selected screenshots below.
Wish You Were Here - Guest
Invasion of the Earthmen - Student
But maybe it's her twin Deсima or... |
Decmia is the dark haired sister of the twins if you read that text carefully; Linda is the other twin.
I think it's definitely Elaine in Invasion of the Earthmen; that woman in Wish you were Here looks like Felicity Gibson to me. _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

Consequently, I think it was not Sylvia Syms who participated there, as one might suppose (including the possible spelling error in the document as for Symes in The Decapod, as is often the case), but someone else.

Oh, thanks - yes, it is clearly written in the article, serious blunder here from me (I usually check myself several times - maybe I was distracted, and then I forgot to do it). _________________ Denis |

There is a Leonie Symes who seems the likely candidate but I don't have any photos.
Looking at "Wish You Were Here" again, I think that's Elaine Rickard as well, well done! _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

It remains to take a note of Leonie Symes for now.
Thank you for your solidarity for Elaine, Piers. I guess Deсima should be more than just acting as a stand-in for Linda Thorson too. Now I will take a second look at the nameless female extras based on the photo from the newspaper. _________________ Denis |

Umm... Maybe Decima from Invasion of the Earthmen.
There are also some candidates (for Decima) from the episode Wish You Were Here.

Cheers, Franky. My first thought was (possibly similar to you) that the Rickard sisters might be walking together on set - the first step was to check specific episodes.
Result
Invasion of the Earthmen
Elaine and Decima ?

Wish You Were Here
Elaine and Decima ?

Found a nice photo on Decima's Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=833723377412090&set=a.833723400745421
Sisters Rickard.
Decima's nickname is Deci. _________________ Denis |

I had though that first brunette might have been Jill Goldston but it seems not.
Also in Wish you were here:
- Elaine again in different clothes, or Linda?
- And maybe Decima _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

That brunette from Invasion of the Earthmen has a cleft chin which none of the Rickard sisters have so it can't be any of them. _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!
