Mariocki, many thanks for participation in the identification of this extra. Wink

I think this is one of the little-known unidentified extras at the time. If I was not mistaken, I saw him somewhere on Moviedude only once, but I cannot find it now.

These are the only ones I have on file at the moment from his appearance in the 1967 Man In A Suitcase episode Sweet Sue:

Peter Blythe is an actor, not extra. He was in "A Sense of History" and "The Positive-Negative Man". This is not he.

This is not Peter Blythe definitely. Wink

It is curious if in the future we reveal the secret of who these girls (except Jennifer Croxton) from Avengers episode Invitation to a Killing are. Confused

Interesting, I wonder how much we could find out about the two lost Tara King double episodes if we could open up all the archives.

It's annoying as publicity stills normally have captions on the back that tell you who the actors are - that's how I found out the model in The Murder Market was Annabella Macartney as I found a publicity still in the National Archives that said so - but that information has not been given to us on the DVDs or Blurays. There was a The Saint set some years ago that did, from memory.

By the way, it was the same way (back side of publicity still) when I learned for the first time that actually Joe Powell played Martin in the episode From Venus with Love. It was long before the book "The Avengers: A Celebration" was released (where is it mentioned), and certain newspapers in the online archives.
After, through years, I found the names Aleta Morrison, George Fisher, etc. on the back side of publicity stills, although they were already known for Avengerland at that time, thanks to different people, including Piers.

Quite a lot. I'm sure there's a worth things somewhere, and even someones has Avengers call sheets in their collection, where you can find out different sorts of details, including the names of extras. Wink

You never know what you will find the next time. By link below is a good example (last post): Wink

Something that I didn't know until earlier today.

Actor Steve Morley played a regular in long running UK ITV show The Bill (as well as guesting in Doctor Who story, Earthshock) - BUT back in the 60's when he was a little boy, he appeared as the little boy sucking a lolly listening to Jonah Barnard in A Surfeit of H20:)

Some progress for person named Mary Kent.

My post dated by Nov 26, 2018 in this thread, was followed:

Mary Kent

Actress, scriptwriter and singer

This was mentioned in Belfast Telegraph (6 September 1968), that Mary participated in The Avengers.

Unfortunately, there is no IMDb page with Mary.

She recorded some singles, released by CBS.

https://www.discogs.com/Mary-Kent-Lost-Generation/release/2384969

Wrote scripts for radio plays and children TV programme Playschool.

In addition, according to the newspapers, she participated in many British TV series, such as "Emergency Ward 10", "Dr. Finlay's Casebook", "Steptoe and Son" and "Cathy come Home".

She was sister of guitarist Eamonn McGirr.

She born as Mary McGirr in Feeney, Ireland and died August 1st, 2015, at St Mary's Hospital, London.

------------------------------------------------------------

Now I found out that Mary Kent and Paddy Kent are one and the same person. Wink

Paddy Kent credited in list of unidentified extras in Avengers episode The Removal Men (1962).

https://www.dissolute.com.au/the-avengers-tv-series/series-2/206-the-removal-men-cast.html

She married on copywriter John Lyons in 1961.

Sylvia Syms

Actress

Surprisingly, this was mentioned in TV Times (26 October - 1 November 1968), that Sylvia participated in The Avengers. Shocked

It causes strong doubts, although it is possible that she could take part somewhere in the first series by replacing one of the guest actresses, for example (like Anthony Bate replaced Murray Hayne, etc.).

Hmm, there's a couple of contenders in series 1 - Katrina Sandor (I've never been happy with the Nadia Regin or Patricia Haines ids for her) or the showgirl in Girl on the Trapeze, one of the dancers in Tunnel of Fear, or someone from the completely lost episodes. Alternatively she might have been in one of the John Bryce Tara episodes that got binned.

Yes, good notes, Piers. You're right, famous Sylvia cannot be excluded from the list of possible Avengers participants. Although it is clear that Sylvia hardly played a bit role because she was already fairly well known at that time, it is quite possible to assume that there was simply cut from some film episode (for example, the actor Walter Gotell was cut from the Avengers episode Take-Over and his name is not even mentioned in the titles) or, as was mentioned, she could take part somewhere in the first series by replacing one of the guest actresses. Confused Confused Confused

Right now I analyzed the actress who played Drowned Girl in Avengers episode Girl on the Trapeze (1961). Yes, this is definitely not Nadia Regin. Wink

The Avengers (unknown actress)

And it seems I understood from where this error went.
Wink I think that the error arose when there was a comparison of the more famous image of Nadia, for example:

From Russia with Love (1963)

But if we look at the image of Nadia specifically close to 1961 - it is without change as the following:

Yes, that's exactly how Nadia looked at the time. So, Nadia is deleted from the list of contenders.

Patricia Haines

A similar situation as with Nadia. The most famous image of Patricia is like a drowned girl, but in fact, in the early 1960s, Patricia looked a little different.

No, this is not Patricia.

Alas, I do not even have any assumptions about this actress on moment.

That's a picture of Patricia English, not Patricia Haines.

Here's the lovely ex Mrs Michael Caine, note the eyebrows and chin, which seem a good match and was the reason I suggested it was her so many years ago:

The Nadia Regin identification came from TV Times crediting her as Anna in their episode listing.

Oh, yes, yesterday I made comparisons with various actresses by images on Moviedude and mistakenly published Patricia English here. In any case, I conducted the identification with Patricia Haines. Wink

Aha, looks that Nadia could participate in rehearsals (I remember that in the official synopsis it was stated that Terry Maidment played the role of a bodyguard in the episode Requiem but neither he nor the stuntman Rupert Evans are anything like the one who ends up under the mask on the floor).

Mask? You mean the bloke in the dress with the moustache? Definitely not Rupert Evans - might be a mistake as Rupert is definitely in Take Me To Your Leader.

Right, talking about a man, who holds the mask on his face (in the dress with the moustache). Wink
"who ends up under the mask on the floor" - in other words (if I write correctly in English again), "who falls under the mask on the floor". I wrote the word "ends up" as a synonym for "fall", but as now I understood (according to your reaction) it is not the same thing. I'll know.

Might be a mistake as Rupert is definitely in Take Me To Your Leader?

There is no mistake, Piers, this is indicated in the book of Mike Richardson (page 696) that Rupert Evans was as stunt double for bodyguard. The information is taken from an official source that says Rupert was hired for this role and played it. It is quite possible that Rupert is in that footage where he falls on the hood of the car. Wink
Alas, on moment I do not have Blu Ray for Tara King episodes to do detailed research, but I plan to purchase it. At the time I have Blu Ray for all Emma Peel episodes.
