Yes, after studying various photos of Deсima yesterday, I came to the conclusion that the brunette from Invasion of the Earthmen does not look alike.

I had though that first brunette might have been Jill Goldston but it seems not.

Also in Wish you were here:

- Elaine again in different clothes, or Linda?

- And maybe Decima

I agree in both cases. The girl from the episode Wish you were here was the second candidate for the Decima I considered.

Hmm, good point! (Or cleft, in this case.)

Wow, curious to see Laurel's involvement with The Avengers was mentioned in Spring 1969's Spotlight.

Pretty much the biggest thing she had done so it makes sense. Even if, as I suspect, she was in it for 10 seconds she's going to put it on her CV.

Discovered in a recent Britmovie forum post:

https://www.britmovie.co.uk/forum/cinema/actors-and-actresses/extras-aa/101780-1970-film-tv-action-directory-a-fell-emerson-brandon-etc

According to 1970 Film/TV Action Directory, Steve Emerson did stunts in The Avengers.

Dave Brandon and Gilliam Aldam in that post also list The Avengers but I don't recognise any of them.

Both, Dave Brandon and Gillian Aldam, took part as stunt performers in The Avengers (information from official documents in Mike Richardson's book Bowler Hats and Kinky Boots). Wink Perhaps Steve Emerson was in the black and white period of the series.

David Brandon

Noon Doomsday (riding double for Grant) page 664 (indicated as Dave Brandon)

Gillian Aldam

Dead Man's Treasure (stunt double for Penny Plain) page 618 (indicated as Gillian Oldham)
The Morning After (stunt double for Jenny) page 679
Take Me to Your Leader (stunt double for Audrey Long) page 684

Anna Cropper

Actress.

This was mentioned in the Nantwich Chronicle newspaper (12 December 1964), that Anna appeared in The Avengers.

This might be Anna Cropper in The Avengers:

It's the only one I could find with a large nose like Anna's but is probably too late for a 1964 newspaper as the episode was filmed in December 1964.

Well, the first thing I thought about Anna Cropper was that she might be appearing in material filmed with Elizabeth Shepherd.

Could be... or she's in series 3 somewhere. The last half of that was broadcast in 1964.
The woman above has the right eyebrows, chin, and nose, your photo isn't representative of her - Getty have her wedding and baby photos which give a very different picture.

In any case, it's good to see the mention of Anna Cropper in connection with The Avengers.
Yes, I saw all those photos with Anna on the Getty, they are not difficult to find. Usually I try to post photos with recognizable facial features of performers, this time I had a decision to post a non-standard image of Anna to see what she could be like that (probably in the future I will use the same method for some persons).

I'd never heard of her before. There's a lovely photo of her with a blonde Sassoon bob in Spotlight 69 which reminds me of one of the nurses in Never Never Say Die, I'll post it when I take a picture, but it seems she naturally had wavy mid-brown hair.

Surprisingly, this was mentioned in TV Times (26 October - 1 November 1968), that Sylvia participated in The Avengers. Shocked

It causes strong doubts, although it is possible that she could take part somewhere in the first series by replacing one of the guest actresses, for example (like Anthony Bate replaced Murray Hayne, etc.).

The script for "The Decapod" mentions one of the extras as being Ms Symes ... but she wouldn't be doing extra work at that point of her career. Maybe she had a cameo in 1967 or 1968 that we haven't spotted, or was in one of the John Bryce Tara episodes that never saw the light of day.

Gay Close

Actress and model.

This was mentioned in the Aldershot News (15 November 1977), that Gay appeared in The New Avengers.

Below is the only clear photo of Gay that I found.
