I would never have associated her with that role if you hadn't mentioned it.

She was an excellent actress.

Personally, I watched Janet only in "The Avengers" and movie "Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell". Wink

TV series Crossroads never transmitted in the USSR and Russia. Some people believe that Janet best remembered for her long-running role in Crossroads (according to some resources), how much it is truth - difficult for me to judge, but given that there is a fan-group (s) of this TV series, then we can draw a definite conclusion. I think for people who watched Crossroads then the moment her character tried to kill her husband David Hunter played by Ronald Allen (Avengers season 3 episode The Secrets Broker) was incredibly memorable - a standout moment.

I knew her from 1988 Doctor Who story The Greatest Show in the Galaxy

Crossroads was HUGE but I've never seen it either, I don't think they exported it outside the UK. she makes a very attractive nun (!) - there's a scene in Dead on Course where naughty Dr King slyly checks out Janet's posterior.

Rosemary Hunter in Crossroads was easily her most famous role, at least in the UK. The scene was remembered for years afterwards.

An outtake, where the gun jammed, was shown on It'll Be Alright On The Night and was also quite famous - not least because an outtake on Crossroads was a rare event in itself!
