Does anyone know what happened to The Avengers: The Journey Back? I have seen the 20 mins or so that was assembled for the 50th anniversary but curious to know what happened, did they run out of money or a licensing issue?

I'm sure it was a rights issue.

Here's a selection of links and clips and interviews:

Thats great, thanks for sharing.
Was this due to be released around the same time as the film?

A wonderful snippet!

....made even more pertinent in that since then having lost Patrick, and both Honour and Diana this year.

How great to see them interacting together, with the obvious affection they all had for each other.

This chemistry must form part of the enduring success of the programme.

Happy times.

According to Amazon and IMDB the full 90-minute version exists and was available (in 1998?). There are interviews with Linda Thorson and Honor Blackman. I'd love to see those, even if the final edit wasn't completed.

wondering if there's a ' bootleg ' of it, floating around the WWW. ? YEARS ago, there was a superb documentary on The Mc5, out of Detroit..and it got struck in free license hades, as Wayne Kramer (guitarist) couldn't come to terms for the royalties..and it got pulled from general world wide release...some time later, a boot leg of it, appeared on You tube, for a short while...and any number of people down loaded it...I did, and burned myself a couple of dvd copies..for my archives...very happy as it was well done...and deserves to be seen..instead of being withheld, due to greed, etc
