Well, there is a suspicion that I will never find Steve Emerson and Derek Ware as stunt performers on The Avengers, although their involvement is mentioned.
Just now I came to to a certain thought that this stand-in on the screenshot below could be Brian Chutter, who was a stand-in for Patrick Macnee in the episode Wish You Were Here.

it is sorta mind boggling, the info and images posted by Denis...and It has to be from viewing blu-ray, right ? VHS, and first gen dvd transfers probably couldn't have supplied so many 'crisp' images...I'm wondering if the series will ever see a 4K release.? and sadly, the U.S. is still waiting for blu ray for the series |

It is curious that Germany, which did not have licensed VHS editions of the series (although I did not see pirated ones either), has licensed DVDs and Blu Rays, but for example Italy, which had licensed VHS and DVD editions, does not have Avengers Blu Rays at all. This market for the series is now held in the UK, Germany and France. There is no Blu Rays for Avengers/TNA also in Australia, the Netherlands and Spain where this could be the case.

The Australian market is infuriating as most TV shows are only released on DVD here, even if they were originally filmed in HD or 4K and have been released on bluray elsewhere. This leaves me to buy TV shows on bluray from overseas, I see no point in buying DVD any more. (Listen up, Madman!) _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

The research work for the Tara King episodes is complete.
Bottom Line
1. Cyd Child was the most frequent stunt double.
2. Paul Weston was the most frequent stunt double for Patrick Macnee, he began to perform this function from the episode "My Wildest Dream".
3. Looks like Paul Weston was the most frequent driving double for Patrick Macnee.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
General Bottom Line
The following peoples have not been identified or found as stunt doubles that were mentioned with The Avengers series:
Steve Emerson, Beryl Martin and Derek Ware.
Other well-known people as stunt doubles were also not found in The Avengers film period, although they may be somewhere, since some stunt doubles from the Emma Peel episodes have not been identified.
Selected list:
Micky Baker, Bernard Barnsley, Marc Boyle, Ken Buckle, Alan Chuntz, Tim Condren, George Lane Cooper, Mick Dillon, Steve Donahue, Jim Dowdall, Terry Duggan, Eddie Eddon, Ray Ford, Tex Fuller, John Gallant, Roberta Gibbs, Martin Grace, Reg Harding, Frank Hayden, Norman Hibbert, Rusty Hood, Jazzer Jeyes, Max Latimer, Rick Lester, Valentino Musetti, Keith Peacock, Peter Perkins, Joe and Nosher Powell, Mike Reid, Doug and Joe Robinson, Bob Simmons, Tony Smart, Eddie Stacey, Roy Street, Connie Tilton, Chris and Robin Webb, Bill Weston.
Vic Armstrong did not appear on The Avengers as a stuntman at all, only in screen tests for TNA.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moreover
I re-watched the final fight in the episode The Town of No Return. With the new analysis of Patrick Macnee's stunt double, I got the impression that this is Cliff Diggins, that it is quite possible, since not long before that he was Patrick's stunt double in the episode Silent Dust and appeared in the episode The Hour That Never Was.

In certain shots, it looks like Mike Stevens as stunt double for Macnee in the opening fencing scene. Rocky Taylor was not there, he appeared as a regular from the next episode Castle De'ath. Before Rocky (in Avengers film era), there was mainly Mike Stevens, Cliff Diggins and Ray Austin as stunt doubles for Patrick.
It is difficult to identify who was Diana's stunt double - maybe Dorothy Ford.

Thanks, Piers. Changed Cliff Diggins paragraph. I deleted "Maybe" from "Stunt double for Patrick Macnee in the b/w Emma Peel episode "The Town of No Return". _________________ Denis |

Thanks to the call sheet for Murdersville by link below, found out that Bill Sawyer was one of the stunt doubles for John Ronane in this episode. I checked and watched the final fight, confirm that Bill Sawyer is on.
