It's still not even half a sheet, one of the most interesting things will be when we get to some stunt doubles, whose faces we do not know, such as Dave Wilding and Lynn Marshall. Wink

I didn't have time to post everything yesterday, stopped on the second block of color Emma Peel episodes. I'll continue shortly. Wink

By the way, a good question is who did the most of their own stunts, Linda or Diana. If we look at the many colored Emma Peel episodes, we can see that Diana Rigg performed some of the fights herself, including the episodes Never, Never Say Die and The Superlative Seven. Before I started exploring the topic of stunts in The Avengers, I always believed that Linda did more of her own stunts, but now I doubt it.

I continue our research. Smile

I watched the episode The £50,000 Breakfast by Blu Ray and can to say the following:

Go to the Book by Mike Richardson (page 621).

Art Thomas (Stunt Double for Dusty Rhodes) ?
Eric Woofe (Driving Double for John Steed) ?
Cyd Child (Stunt Double for Emma Peel) Yes
Romo Gorrara (Stunt Double for First Assistant) Yes.
Jenny Pink (Stunt Double for Miss Pegram) Most likely

1. Art was the driving double for Richard Curnock according to Bowler Hats and Kinky Boots book, page 246. Sadly, it is very hard to see Dusty's face in the car from the outside.

2. I checked all the footages with Patrick's driving double and there is one person in there. To me, he doesn't look like Eric Woofe at all, closer to Paul Weston.

3. Ha, it's very funny to watch Diana Rigg defeat Romo Gorrara as stunt double of Eric Woofe by putting him in the trunk of the car and then we see Romo Gorrara again, but in a different role, fighting Emma Peel. Very Happy

Diana defeat Romo Gorrara as stunt double of Eric Woofe by putting him in the trunk of the car.

Romo Gorrara again, but in a different role, fighting Emma Peel.

Diana tosses Romo aside and the camera shifts on him. However, when Romo runs up to Diana again (without changing the frame), it is already Сyd Child as Emma Peel. A clever replacement.

4. As for Jenny Pink, she's on the special Equity list:
http://avengersfanforum.s2.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?p=63461&highlight=jenny+pink

Also in this episode is Driving Double for Cecil Parker.

Doesn't look similar from my point of view. Paul Weston served as Patrick's regular driving double in Emma Peel color series while Rocky was acting stunt double. It is possible that Paul, for some reason, was not on the set and they took a replacement (both, Rocky and Paul, are not mentioned in Mike's book for this episode).

I watched the episode You Have Just Been Murdered by Blu Ray.

Go to the Book by Mike Richardson (page 623).

Les Crawford (Stunt Double for Skelton) Impossible to identify
Rocky Taylor (Stunt Double for George Unwin) ?
Cyd Child (Stunt Double for Emma Peel) Yes
Frank Maher (Stunt Double for George Unwin) Most likely
Rocky Taylor (Stunt Double for John Steed) Most likely
Rocky Taylor (Stunt Double for Needle) Actually, Rocky was the driving double for George Murcell.

I can't figure out where Rocky could replace Barry Ingham, given that in action scenes the stuntman does not look like Rocky, but closer to Frank Maher, and the driving double for Barry looks different.

In one footage, we can see Paul Weston as Steed's driving double quite clearly. Very Happy

Also in this episode are Driving Doubles for Simon Oates, Leslie French and Diana Rigg.

I watched the episode The Positive Negative Man by Blu Ray.

Go to the Book by Mike Richardson (page 625).

Rocky Taylor (Stunt Double for John Steed) Yes, it's very obviously
Denny Powell (Stunt Double for Peter Hayworth) ?
Les Crawford (Stunt Double for Peter Hayworth) ?
Denny Powell (Stunt Double for Dr. Creswell) Yes, it's very obviously

1. Rocky was driving double for Patrick Macnee too.

2. Dinny Powell as a stunt double of Peter Hayworth? Maybe as a driving double.

3. Despite the fact that Mike Richardson's book states that Les replaced Michael Latimer in the final battle, in all footages of battle where Hayworth's face is visible, the character is played by Michael Latimer. Confused

4. Indeed, it looks like Cyd Child is not in this episode. I analyzed all the scenes with Emma, especially in the red jumpsuit, everywhere Diana, except driving double.

5. Where is Paul Weston? He can be in one footage, when Steed goes (from Mankin) to his car in the parking lot and climbs into it.

Murdersville.

Go to the Book by Mike Richardson (page 627).

Bill Cummings (Stunt Double for Hubert) No, Bill is only a stand-in for John Ronane in the helicopter
Cyd Child (Stunt Double for Emma Peel) Yes
Denny Powell (Stunt Double for Banks) Yes
Romo Gorrara (Stunt Double for Hubert) ?
Les Crawford (Stunt Double for Dr. Haymes) ?
Rocky Taylor (Stunt Double for John Steed) Looks like
Joe Dunne (Stunt Double for Mickle) Yes
Joe Dunne (Stunt Double for Hubert) Yes

1. While we're used to Bill Cummings being a stuntman, in this episode he just sits in a helicopter next to Mickle (pilot) in some footages along with others where actors John Ronane and Colin Blakely play their roles.

2. In one footage, I discovered Cyd Child as Diana Rigg's driving double (screenshot below) too, while some other footages have a different driving double (Diane Enright?).

3. Romo Gorrara possibly replaces John Ronane in the scene "Hubert and the fake policeman (Paul Weston) attacks Emma Peel".

4. Les Crawford was probably a driving double for Ronald Hines (for example, he was the driving double for Norman Bowler in the episode "Dead Man's Treasure").

Also in this episode is Driving Double for John Chandos, helicopter pilot (double for Colin Blakely) and stand-in in Lotus for Eric Flynn (not this screenshot above, where Cyd and Eric Flynn in the car).

Mission ... Highly Improbable.

Go to the Book by Mike Richardson (page 628).

Cyd Child (Stunt Double for Emma Peel) ?
Paul Weston (Stunt Double for Dr. Chivers) ?

If there are footages where Cyd Child could replace Diana Rigg, then I do not understand where Paul Weston could replace Francis Matthews as a stunt performer, if not as a stand-in. Francis even drives a car on his own. On one hand, it is obvious that since Paul Weston made his debut as a fighting character in the previous episode (when he as a fake policeman attacked Emma Peel in Murdersville), he had a desire to become an action stunt performer, but it looks like that Paul actually made a debut in this area since the Linda Thorson era. I'm wondering what the first episode in production order will be where I find Paul Weston as a stunt double. We'll see shortly.

I continue our research. Smile

I watched the episode The £50,000 Breakfast by Blu Ray and can to say the following:
...

Diana tosses Romo aside and the camera shifts on him. However, when Romo runs up to Diana again (without changing the frame), it is already Сyd Child as Emma Peel. A clever replacement.

I can't say I could tell them apart from these two shots (both seem to be wearing the same watch!). Is there a clearer shot of Cyd Child in this scene maybe Denis - to be sure?

2. I checked all the footages with Patrick's driving double and there is one person in there. To me, he doesn't look like Eric Woofe at all, closer to Paul Weston.

That isn't Rocky, is it?

I think that's Paul Weston.

No doubt about it. Wink Cyd has a special face - when you see her in profile, that's enough to recognize.

Given that Paul performed this function at the time, I think it was him too.

Great, the problem is resolved - I have the french Blu ray with Linda Thorson episodes. Smile Anyway, I plan to buy British Blu Rays for color episodes in the coming months. Currently, as for Blu Rays, I have the following:

black and white Emma Peel episodes (British Blu Ray)
color Emma Peel episodes (USA Blu Ray)
Tara King episodes (French Blu Ray)

interesting learning about all the different stunt doubles, etc...in some episodes, they have done a lousy job, in masking the double(s) in some scenes..and you can tell it's not steed, or peel...etc
