I have some British film memorabilia that I’m in the process of selling for Richard Everson, son of Roy Everson, who has just died aged 95. He worked in the film industry since 1949 when he was just an extra. Overtime, he graduated to become first Laurence Harvey’s Personal Assistant and Stand In in films he made. They became close friends. After Laurence Harvey died, aged jus 42, Roy became Sean Connery’s Personal Assistant and Stand In ,in a lot of films they worked on together. After Sean Connery, Roy became Peter O’Toole’s Personal Assistant, Stand In and close friend. Roy has left a lot of film memorabilia, lots of documents signed by some famous film stars, lots of signed/autographed photographs of the film stars he worked with. A priceless collection! If you want a signed photograph, of Sean Connery for example, then I’m your man! Graham

Wow, I'm not surprised he was Laurence Harvey's stand-in, he looks so much like him.

Good start a more serious Roy's career, it was a revelation for me.

Oh, I should have mentioned earlier in the topic, Roy Everson was also a driving double for Patrick Macnee in some black and white Emma Peel episodes.

The Thirteenth Hole, for example. Smile

Good selection of stand-ins too, even though Mike Stevens looks more like Patrick Macnee than Roy Everson. I think Oliver Tomlin would be a better stand-in candidate for Patrick. Very Happy

Seeing this now it is pretty obvious, I'd like to have seen the faces of the directors, cameramen, technicians who made the Avengers expecting a by comparison tiny television screen. (I'm not complaining, this is what I love about older tv.)
