errr, yes! Smile

I buy these things, put them away, never look at them again. Gum cards, postcards, comics, posters ... I keep saying one day I'll root them all out and eBay the lot of 'em.

It’s a wallpaper from PURRR made with a photo from the 1968 Avengers Annual.
This is the original:

Seems to have been hacked!

ETA: Whew, it's back. Much nicer seeing Linda than a political message.

Strange! Can you please tell me what was hacked, the photo or the whole message?

The photo - there was briefly a "poster" up which was something about a group that opposed copying permissions (or something), I didn't pay it much attnetion as it read like a rant. Someone must have hacked into the photo website - but it disappeared soon afterwards, and later the image came back. Very nice article, at least the 1st two pages are! Is Steed changing a wheel? Smile

Thanks! Not to worry then, for a moment I thought someone hacked my forum account.

I'm a big fan of Linda but those photos don't do her justice at all IMO, her hair colour is dreadful Shocked She looks fair better and more subtle dark.

TV Shows on DVD has alerted me to the forthcoming release of the last two seasons of Emily of New Moon:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Emily-New-Moon-DVDs-Announced/13660

I used to watch this series when I was a kid. The CBC went through a phase in the nineties where they seemed to only churn out period dramas, like the Depression-era Wind At My Back. They'd also produced Road to Avonlea, based off of the books by Lucy Maud Montgomery, who also wrote the Emily of New Moon novels--they were having a run on shooting stuff in Prince Edward Island, clearly. Emily was the darkest of the three, with the little girl protagonist seeing ghosts and dead people and supernatural stuff all the time--used to give me the screaming heebie-jeebies! Linda was a regular in seasons 2 and 3, and I remember her arriving on the scene quite clearly. Looking at the air dates, it was October, 1998, quite literally exactly around the time I started watching The Avengers (didn't make the Linda connection for a few months after that, though). She plays Emily's hateful Scottish aunt, and I remember her being quite good in it. Just a heads-up for anyone who might be interested. Smile

Thanks for the heads up! I've been curious to see this series for a long time though I was disappointed in the Anne of Green Gables series.

What, the Megan Follows version? That one's achieved a sort of hallowed, iconic status over the years. Megan Follows still acts, but we all still think "Anne!" when she comes on-screen. Wink

I have no idea what I'd think of Emily now--unlike Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea, I didn't read much in the way of the books, so I can't say how faithful it is. I was just a kid at the time, and your tastes change (except for the Avengers. And cartoons Wink ). All I remember is adoring Aunt Laura, played by the fabulous Sheila McCarthy, and Stephen McHattie as her cousin, both Canadian acting greats. I hated Linda's character, but she wasn't supposed to be likeable. She was about as far from Tara as one could get. And looking back, it was fun to see her back in Canada for a change. Anyway, if you're interested, there it is.

Anybody else remember this show?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092397/

I remember seeing some of the episodes back then. Linda being in it was what caught my attention. Too bad it's apparently not out on DVD yet.
