Fourteen pages of colourful mayhem (although I plan to replace a few of the grottier ones in a week or two).

Lovely, Piers! There were some outfits in there I didn't remember. Tara had an awful lot of trouser suits.

Who's next, then? Will we be seeing TNA sometime in the future?

Yes indeed, The Three-Hemmed Game is next on the list - but I'll take time off to update the episode descriptions for Season Four first - started "The Town of No Return" this morning.

"The Three-Hemmed Game." I love it. Can't wait to see that new bit of your fantastic site. Keep up the good work!

Apologies for the short outage of the site, my host sent my invoices to the wrong email address and suspended the service when I didn't pay.

Should all be back now, but I'll check it out over the weekend.

I've added links for all the original scripts that have been PDFed (using local copies, not the ones here, so don't worry about your bandwidth!)

If anyone objects to my hosting them, let me know, but I thought of starting a new "Brought to Book" section for the site.

On another note, do people find my recent episode descriptions too long, or is the detail okay?
I wanted to capture every scene, more or less, to give a really complete picture of each episode.

I've relaunched in a quiet sort of way with a new "megamenu" site navigation - I'm slowly adding new info as I go as well - and Alan keeps feeding me tidbits to correct or add. Once I've found where in 1977 the TNA season 1 was first broadcast Downunder, I'll add those details (and send you a copy of my spreadsheet, Alan).

I particularly like the 'This Week in Avengers History'. I was going to create a thread on this here, but didn't think I'd be able to keep it up.

I see today would have been the 92nd birthday of Don Chaffey and tomorrow the 99th birthday of Charles Crichton (if I've got the maths right - never my strong point Crying or Very sad ) ...

That's why I scripted it in the first place, I didn't want to list the entire thing (although you can if you select "see full year" on the "What's new?" page) and I didn't want to add news items every second day to keep up with things.

I'll just pop in and say I love the new drop-down menu, Piers. It's been years since my very first visit, but I keep coming back. It's a great resource. Very Happy

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you like it.

As revealed elsewhere, I've just added all the Australian original broadcast dates to the site, and supplied Alan with a massive spreadsheet of my research. Now to turn that into something more useful...

...and thanks again for that, Piers!

I've been a bit sidetracked by other projects the last few weeks, but hope to start including the fruits of your research at Declassified soon!

Cheers!

I've now finished the rewrite of Season 4 (Emma b/w, which I still don't think as personally satisfying as the Emma colour).

I've started updating the mugshots for Season 1, but if Alan is reconstructing episodes, I might have to do it all over again for some of the minor characters I'm having trouble identifying.

I've added hitherto unknown extras and characters as well, including Caron in "The Far-Distant Dead", who might just be Norman Mitchel, but I'll try watching some of his other appearances before I commit myself!

Can someone go through the episode pages and let me know what they think, and maybe supply names for faces?

cheers!

Hmm, that picture of Caron on the website definitely isn't Norman Mitchell (one of those over-familiar actors who always play policemen it seems, and has been in cult favourites like "The Prisoner" and "Worzel Gummidge")... I don't know who it is, though!

I agree with you, a few seconds of Norman on screen and I knew it wasn't him - I've seen the face before though... maybe in a season 4 or 5 episode.

Speaking of Faces, I've just added a few more, and will do Double Danger tonight, I have a sneaking suspicion I've seen the "uncredited extra" playing Ted Mace before too.

Re. Double Danger, you can add Blaise Wyndham as Taxi Driver in that one, Piers. There were 4 extras used on the episode, the one playing Ted Mace being one of them.

Also, to answer your query on the Double Danger page at your site, Dew and Mace were completely different characters.

Yeah, I'd forgotten to remove the query about Dew/Mace.

I'll use my screencap of Blaise from "Easy Money" so it's different to the shot from "Dead of Winter". I'll update in the next hour or so, and update my cast list based on your update for the epsidoe. Thanks, Alan.

Double Danger raises more questions - there was no script on the series 1 set, was it unearthed too late to go on thew set? I mean, you must be working from the script to do the reconstruction, unless you have an audio recording...

Yes, I tracked down the scripts (I have both rehearsal and camera) after the Series 1+2 discs were authored. Both scripts will be included as bonuses on the Series 3 set, to go with the reconstruction.

I wish I did have an audio recording!

By the way, the features at Declassified note the source for each synopsis: rehearsal is Gerald Verner's original; camera is John Lucarotti's rewrite.

I think the Avengers is following me around. I've just watched an ep of Joanna Lumley in "Sapphire and Steel" and the name "Jed Mace" was instrumental to the plot's conclusion... Very Happy and Norman Mitchell was a barman in a DVD I watched just before that!

I've just updated the mugshots for Brady and Mills from "Double Danger". It's a shame there are fewer telesnaps for the early episodes, I could really fill some gaps there!
BTW, I think Caron is being played by a slightly younger, plumper but less bald Peter Hughes - the chin, mouth and eyebrows look spot on.

If you want to see my gaps in mugshots at a glance, have a look at this page:
*warning - it's long and has lots of images*

http://www.dissolute.com.au/avweb/keel/allcastimg.html

I realised I think Ted Mace looks like Ben Miller, which is clearly not possible - may be some Welsh screen artiste...
