I'm reviving this thread as there's a new serial available for download from today:

Train of Events , based on the television episode, Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Station.

Enjoy!

I just saw the update on Declassified and ran straight back here to say "thank you!" I love the radio serials--Donald Monat and Diane Appleby do a fantastic job of creating their own version of Steed and Emma. I can't wait to give it a listen. Hopefully anyone who hasn't tried the radio series will do the same. They're brilliant on road trips. Very Happy

Wonderful, another bit of the Avengers available. And AFHOTWTTS is an episodes I would have picked to turn into a radioplay, so pretty great.

Most evenings I'll pour myself a dram or two and settle down to enjoy a few episodes of The Avengers radio serials, so it's nice to know there's another available. Thanks. Smile

Awesome! I've been eagerly awaiting this one!

I was wondering what happened to it, but I've since figured out what was keeping you so busy! Wink

I seem to recall that we started the restoration back in October last year, and almost as soon as I transferred the tape, the opportunity arose to interview Simon Oates. Not being a 'natural' at interviewing I wanted to make sure I'd researched things properly and did a good job. Once Alys and I had interviewed Simon, I then spent almost the whole of November laid low with the worst 'flu I've ever had. To be honest, I was still feeling less than my usual self the following March.

The process of audio restoration is very intensive (if I take it too easy, I always find something less demanding to do instead!) and it's only very recently that I've felt sufficiently on the ball to tackle it.

I hope there won't be as long a wait for the last two serials!

That's a piece of history...wonderful at that..and shows just how important and beloved, the show was..to inspire a radio version of it..

I've just listened to Part One of Train of Events - I am/was a radio series virgin until today. It's flippin' fantastic! I really like Monat's mellow but authoritative tones; a nice distinction and perhaps better suited to radio than Patrick (heresy?).

Great to hear 'that' theme music bellowing from the radio speakers.

Looking forward to hearing more.

It was nice to hear what was scheduled before the show on the radio. I listened to the fifth part of THE JOKER. Smile

Well, since my computer is down and I'm using ShaggE's, I decided to give the radio versions a try. However, when I clicked on the links, a box came up saying the that internet explorer could not connect. Does any one have any idea why?

Try the right mouse button menu and save as... or save link as.
Then you download them and play them with your mediaplayer.

My pc asks me to 'Save target as', but it's the same thing. Cool

Just started this serial and it's a good 'un. Thanks, Alan and team.
