That was on last night over here, too. I just caught Honor's intro. Sean Connery's expression when she introduces herself is just priceless.

Probably because 'Quantum of Solace' is coming out in like 3 days. I'm not complaining Very HappyLaughing

And I agree, that face he pulls is just priceless Very Happy

Yes, that's probably why they were showing Lara Croft Tomb Raider as well--Daniel Craig! With an American accent! I remember watching it in theatres years ago and thinking he was dishy. Didn't know who he was--I didn't make the connection for ages. It's funny because I have the Tomb Raider film book thingie, and they interview Daniel. He admits to being a huge PC Game addict and pretty much locking himself in the house when the second Tomb Raider game came out. Hard to imagine!

Well, since he wrote her as a lesbian, her attitude to Bond might be quite different!

Just spotted Honor in this Marks and Spencer Christmas ad (found it looking for Hugh Laurie, but it's nicely in season):

What, is it in trouble? But I want to go so bad when I get to Britain. Just that ad made me want to go shopping!

I hope it doesn't go down the tubes. Here in Canada pretty much all of our Canadian department stores--Woodward's, Eaton's, Simpson's--died a slow death and are no more. Sad.

I suspect with Woolworths dead (come January) and now Jaguar in dire straits M&S might be next. There are always stories about the store not doing well in the papers over thood these years... I must admit I only buy their food these days...

That's really too bad. It's got an iconic quality over here, and I was looking forward to going one of these days. What a shame.

I hope things turn around. Apparently we had some over here until 1999 (my mom swears she took me to one when I was little, but I wasn't the right age to appreciate it, obviously, because I don't remember it at all), but I would have been, when they pulled out. We had Woolworth's, too, but they were gone before my time. Hopefully it'll pull through (the way I'm hoping our President's Choice company does).

how true...Connery-Bond, just about died with quiet pleasure...

I remember reading about the uproar about the name of Honor's character. and in the Times, there was a picture of Honor and Prince Charles, the photo was titled..'the prince and the Pussy' or something like that..anyhow, it quieted down the Name uproar..

Honor took enormous pleasure in saying her character's name as much as possible when she was doing publicity for the movie in the States. They kept trying to skirt around the issue by posing all their questions with the phrase "your character," and she would always brightly respond with "You mean Pussy Galore?" and watch them colour up in response. Laughing

Of course, nothing can beat the interview she did during her Cathy years. One interviewer was terribly snide: "Tell me, Ms. Blackman, how does it feel to be half man and half woman?" Honor just smiled and leaned forward so her incredibly low-cut dress couldn't be missed, and replied "Which half would you be referring to?"

I've never seen it either, I'm afraid, just read it described in one of my Avengers books years ago. Apparently the interviewer stumbled through the rest of it. Can't recall where it was from, though.

Honor Blackman will be on BBC 4 Radio in January:

Which makes sense because she has great voice.

I found a radio interview with Honor from 2002, in which she talks about her one woman show. The quality isn't fantastic, but you can easily follow the conversation, and it's quite a nice little interview.
Would anyone be interested in hearing it? If so I'll upload it Smile
