Do not read this, if you have not seen yet the new James Bond Film Skyfall

SPOILERS

Skyfall 'groundskeeper' Kincade who is a bit deaf Very Happy calls M
Emma when Bond introduces M to Kincade.
My first thought was : could this be a tribute to the Avengers? Well, it's 50 years James Bond and it was 50 years The Avengers last year.
What do you think?

More likely a simple joke than a homage, I'd say.

I agree with Alan--it's likely just a little joke. What did remind of the Avengers when I saw it was Bond's reaction when they blew up his car. It's like Steed and the Bentley all over again. Laughing

(Oh, and hi, Ralph. I think you'll make a better M than a Steed).

I just thought so as - and that's not a joke- a man sitting in the row behind mine said during that scene: "Mrs Peel, you're needed!" and my friends and I had to laugh so much about it.

Ha, ha, really? Laughing Well, there's probably a lot of overlap between the Bond and Avengers communities. It felt like Dead Men Are Dangerous redux.
