|
|
Have yourself a merry little Christmas banner, you all can vote on which of the five entries will become this forums temporarily banner during Christmas and New Year.
First of all a word of thanks to the users who contributed by making a banner. They are all lovely and it will be hard to choose, but only one can win. The winning banner will be displayed from the 20th of December until the 4th of January.
When the poll closes after seven days, the designer of each banner will be named, credits where credits due. If one of the designers reveals which banner he or she made before this poll has closed, it will result in a disqualification of their entry, regardless of the number of votes it has received.
In case of a tie in the voting the Ministry will decide on a solution. But the more of you vote the less chance there is of a tie, and yes you may take that as a hint.
Posting is allowed in this forum but please do not speculate on who made a banner, and most important: If you can't say something nice say nothing at all.
So the choice is up to you and it's not easy they are all nice:
Have a good look at all five before you cast your vote.

2:
3:
4:
5:
The poll will close at 3:00 p.m. British time on December the 19th.

Yes. It's good that these polls don't let you change your mind because I'd be changing mine every hour! Hard decision. Awsome job guys! _________________ Every parent has a favorite child. Usually the child belongs to the neighbors. |

A difficult choice. Made my decision, voted and then wished I could have four more votes! _________________ Alan

Last year's competition was a hard choice, but I actually thought there was a very obvious one to vote for this year. I was instantly drawn to it and haven't changed my mind.

Very easy choice for me, too. As a Graphic Designer, I picked the best one within a minute.

Okay, last night, in a moment of madness, I edited a post by someone who had stated whom he had voted for. At the time, my reasoning was to keep discussion at a minimum so as not to influence the votes of the yet undecided. Waking up this morning, I realized that this had been a bad decision on my part.
My sincerest apologies to MRotten for the edit, and to the rest of the members for a bad decision. _________________ Every parent has a favorite child. Usually the child belongs to the neighbors. |

I actually think it's a good idea to keep the voting secret. In fact last year, if I'm remembering correctly, the results were undisclosed until the winner was announced.
I think this is better - it's a surprise for everyone and more exciting that way.
Just my tuppence worth!

The number of votes that have been cast for each option can be viewed anyway. So it's up to individual members if they want to reveal how they voted. Because although the number of votes is visible how anyone voted is secret, also to the administrators. Feel free to reveal how you voted, just keep it nice.
I voted for number 5, I like number 2 also a lot, but five has the nice wintery colours. |

I voted for 5 as well, and I have a feeling I might know who made it. (however, I'll of course keep mum on that subject) _________________ My Joanna Lumley Fan Forum |

My vote was for Number 2. The others are really nice but the majority are perhaps a bit too subtle for the season.
Too busy this year to design a banner - delighted the standard is so high. _________________ Alan

It was an easy choice for me; Number 2. It's the only one that has all the main leads. Couldn't forget Dr Keel at Christmas time! |

The 5th banner is by far better than #2 which is just too corny. |

As Dandy stated, keep the comments positive or say nothing. Every participant put in a lot of time and effort to create something fun for everyone to enjoy. _________________ Every parent has a favorite child. Usually the child belongs to the neighbors. |

Well I'm not going to say which I voted for - they're all fine work; but as a hint, I always love humorous ones, so the more humour the better _________________ Last watched: Tunnel of Fear. |
