This is new to me. Not the site but the video commentaries from Patrick, Laurie Johnson and Cyd Child. Is this part of the extras that came with Optimum release? I like it!

These are episode introductions to The Avengers episodes either when they were shown on British TV in the 90's or released on video. I imagine they were bits not used for the Avenging The Avengers documentary, but certainly filmed at the same time.
They aren't Optimum-era interviews. _________________

Those were filmed for the repeats on the UK satellite/cable channel Granada Plus, and nothing to do with Avenging the Avengers. They were on the 1967 Contender and French DVDs too. _________________ Alan

I knew they were filmed for a satellite channel but Granada Plus slipped my mind - dunno why it's actually on the Purr video. I don't think I actually subscribed to Granada Plus I have no memory of it at all.
I thought it was filmed around the time of the interviews for Avenging (or similar doc or extra - there were a few around the same time) but obviously not if you say so.
They were on the Contenders - as part of the 'follow the hat' extras I think - I've never bothered to watch them. _________________

I like the story about Cyd Child's dive was so rubbish she stayed at the bottom of the pool with the crew joking with her that they thought she was dead!
Thanks for that, I must have these on the Contender discs but have never bothered to play them. _________________
