Looks like the bonus disc will get a solo release - unless this is something different entirely!?

I bet (and hope) you're right, even though the name of the item (The Avengers - Complete Series + Bonus Disc [DVD]) is a bit confusing.

Amazon UK, Play.com & HMV are all taking pre-orders for the Bonus Disc that was included in the Complete Box Set. Release date is 03/10/2011 & is priced at 11.99
Those who didn't want to buy the Complete set just to get this disc can now buy it seperately. Very Happy

That should put a few minds at ease! A most elegant solution. And a rather fabulous cover!

Is it just me that thinks that cover looks like Steed and Emma have been tied together by an evil Cathy and her accomplice Tara?

I'm happy that the special features disc is being offered seperately, it's a very sensible decision. I still think those loyal purchasers who've had the worry and inconvenience of returning discs should have been offered a freebie however.

Would I be rude to ask what is on it and whether it is actually worth 12 of my hard earned precious money?!

If I was a betting man, I'd bet that the grey disc will be issued separately. Optimum have got to do this to save some face after all the cock ups.

Wish I could have had that bet ...

Is this the one that had faults? (Jerky motion problems?) Hopefully it will be fixed for the reissue.

I think the alternate bits for Death at Bargain Prices are already on the appropriate DVD for the b/w Emma series

Indeed. I really hate it when people pigeon-box the show into this one era. Personally, the 'Peel' years are my least favourite era of the entire show.

Have to agree actually. My favourite episodes are the Tara King era, although I aslo love the Emma Peel era as well. I also loved the New Avengers as well. I guess we all have differings tastes.

Fiddle de dee. I just started watching the new set of 1967-8 and it is astounding how great it is.

I love the other episodes but this series is the bee's knees.

Even in the Peel years, the black-and-white episodes are far superior in pacing, tone, originality, wit, variety, style and charm to the colour ones.

I'm getting this as a present. Just wondered if it was worth getting the Marcus Hearn book of pictures as well?
