Does anyone out there have a year of release for the two Revell model car kits from The New Avengers?

These were Gambit’s red Jaguar XJS and Purdey’s yellow Triumph TR7.

Further to this, does anyone actually remember seeing these items for sale in shops in the UK?

Or were they produced exclusively for the American market?

I have both, and the boxes read "Copyright 1979", so I assume that was the year they were put out. The boxes also have a contents list in several languages, which suggests they weren't just produced for the US market. No idea where they were actually in shops, though.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing these kits for sale in the UK, and there's certainly no reason why they shouldn't have been - most major American construction kit companies sold their products over here, although they were mainly only available in specialist model shops. The average toy shop would be more likely just to stock Airfix kits.
