I think it all depends on your opinion and tastes Paul. There appears to be a great differing on opinion regarding The Avengers in novel form and some would probably say that the writers of the various novels had never actually watched the series. |

I didn't feel any of the Avengers novels captured the tv series at all, except for the two that Patrick Macnee co-wrote, in particular Dead duck. The missing file novelettes by Geoff Barlow were the very best I've read though. I wish he'd do some more. Rich. |

Since writing his Avengers material, I'm sure that Geoff has had several non-Avengers novels published down under in his homeland of Australia. |

Enefer's book is probably the best of all the Avengers books, with Deadline & Dead Duck close behind. Congratulations of your bargain, you'll love it - it is the only book with Cathy in it.
Geoff Barlow's books are a bit too fanfic for my tastes, but they're definitely more 'on brand' than the John Garfoth books. _________________ Mrs Peel, you're needed!

Perhaps I'm a bit picky but it would be more accurate to say "...highly successful TV series by ABC Television."
I've got quite a few TV series tie-in novels, including this one (somewhere!), but it's rare that I ever get through reading one to the end.
