Very pretty! Very Happy That would make a good signature picture. Any particular reason that some of the cases are slimline, and some are the bigger, standard case size?

I don't own those DVD's, but if I could hazard a guess, I would say that since Allard sorted them by colour (and not chronologically) for the picture, it's quite possible that as for a lot of other DVD releases of TV shows, the first (released) series used the regular-sized DVD cases and the later ones (and maybe re-releases of the earlier releases) used slimline cases (I own quite a few TV shows where the first season boxset is as big as two or three of the later season boxsets despite having the same number of DVD's per season).
Since publishers have often released the Emma Peel series of The Avengers before the others, I wouldn't be surprised if the slimline cases ended up to the left of the regular-sized ones if Allard organized their collection in chronological order.

I was wondering if it might be something like that. It took me a minute to realise that the DVDs weren't in the right order--I kept trying to work out how episodes 1-3 segued into 11-14. Laughing

If you read back in this article you can find out how I own these Dutch releases but what you see is: Season two in slimline (7X), season three slimline (4X), season five (8X), season six (10X).

Picked up one of these disks and the quality seems good and I thought I'd use this one for my collection. Just before I do, can anyone confirm if this 'De Wreckers disc 12's episodes -Who's Who???, Return Of The Cybernauts and Death's Door - are complete (i.e. no cuts)?

I can not say anything regarding the episodes Who's Who??? and Death's Door, but seems episode Return Of The Cybernauts are no complete on all European DVDs if refer to this source:

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=246956&page=18

Personally, I watched the French edition DVD (cut is present), as for my videotape with record this episode from the Russian TV channel TV6 in 1996 - scene saved.

In general, I tested Dutch DVDs with episodes Linda Thorson and they have cuts, for example, in episodes Game and Fog, that makes to think about the prints for 5 seasons too. Confused
But unfortunately I did not tested season 5 on Dutch DVDs, at all.

Thank You. I have got Death's Door on an original videotape (The M. APPEAL COLLECTION), so I will compare its length to the length of the episode on the Dutch DVD.

That's Great! I would be pleased to hear the results. And by the way if you also will post here the duration of the episode Who's Who???, I will be able to analyze this episode from French DVD, last British DVD set (Optimum) and my VHS with record from Russian TV channel.

Interestingly, the duration of the episode Return Of The Cybernauts from Russian TV channel in 1996 is 49:06, although full episode is 49:12 (without title The Avengers in color). This tells me that it will be necessary to look for or a delete fragment or a problem in the old film where scenes were edit not very accurate because of the cut-outs of advertising (that is, the episode can miss from 6 - 14 seconds). Some episodes transmitted in Russia had these problems, and these prints were purchased for the Russian broadcast initially.

Thanks for your times.

These times include the very first part of the episode 'Avengers in Color':
Who's Who, Dutch DVD, chapter elapsed 49:09
Return Of The Cybernauts, Dutch DVD, chapter elapsed 49:14
Death's Door, Dutch DVD, chapter elapsed 49:19
Death's Door, M. APPEAL VHS, 49:18

The DVD's have about a second of blank screen at the end before the counter stops, so maybe one second shorter is best? It seems to me that Death's Door is probably exactly the same length on the Dutch DVD and the M. APPEAL VHS video; which I hope shows that they are also exactly the same and also complete; which would be good!

Who's Who???, Dutch DVD, chapter elapsed 49:09

According to my limited research, it looks like a complete.
French DVD and last British DVD have the same time, in my test - 49:08. BBFC confirms this for the other British releases, 49:07, but I think we can consider one missing second as their own approach to the timing.

On my videotape, record from Russian TV in 1996, it is also the same in timing, although I must admit that it contains animated logo ABC at the end of the episode, not the original British (diamond), which I think should be there, since all the episodes transmitted in Russia were without US titles 'The Avengers in Color' and many prints had the original final logo.
So I suspect that the print of episode Who's Who???, shown in Russia, could to be purchased Russian TV network from "another pack" later and shown only in 1996. There is no evidence that the episode was shown previously in Russia. Also is fact that all the episodes of the first production block of the 5 seson, except Escape in Time, were strongly cut in Russia. I suspect that Escape in Time is likely also had animated logo in the end.

Based on all this, I can say that I have not seen the original British print of episode Who's Who???.

Return Of The Cybernauts, Dutch DVD, chapter elapsed 49:14

Here I can add that it seems the among all releases only the US A&E release of the episode contains the full version of this, as almost all the episodes of the second production block of 5 season have the time 49:18.

Death's Door, Dutch DVD, chapter elapsed 49:19

I conducted research and think it's a full version, time 49:18, according to my test, also gives us additional evidence to think so. Wink
