Hi All.
Thanks for allowing me to join the forum.
I run a website called www.underthefloorboards.com where I produce Limited Edition Screen Printed artwork and for a few years now I've been buying licenses from Studio Canal. Last year I was offered the Avengers, but, sorry about this, I have never seen the show although I'm aware of it.
However I found an artist who did and together we created an image which we would like to screen print. My problem is, in order to make this work I need to know about the fans and the market.
Would something like this be of any interest
Would fans of the show want to buy limited edition art? If so have we managed to capture the feel of the show?
Unfortunately ad much as I have tried I'm unable to upload and image to the site, but I have posted a link which will hopefully work!
Appreciate any feedback.
Thanks
Mike

Personally, I'd say that as the likenesses are not of the actors, being stylised representations of the characters, it might be preferable to replace 'Patrick Macnee' and 'Diana Rigg' with 'John Steed' and 'Emma Peel' ('in' becomes 'are').
Striking design, though Steed was definitely not a red-head. _________________ Alan

Thanks for the feedback.
Character names are a good idea, I like that.
I think we were looking for that 60's Saul Bass look so likeness isn't really an issue for this unless it puts people off.
The hair colour, again, difficult as its a screen print and limited with colours. Black hair and bowler may look strange, but again, I understand the issue.
Thanks again for sharing and commenting. |

I can't believe anyone would take on a project without watching the show first. Come to think of it, I can't believe there is anyone out there who hasn't seen the show. Try it, you might like it! _________________ The Avengers: a product of the sixties and a timeless piece of sublime art |
