For first time I encountered on some information for area "The Avengers: TV broadcasting in Poland" on Wikipedia many years ago. Adam Mirowski, who created a page "Rewolwer i Melonik" (polish name of the series The Avengers) in 2006, devoted an entire paragraph for it. He noted that the selected episodes with Diana Rigg, both black and white and color, have been shown in country in the 1970s and posted the three episodes that's just according to his study or memories were shown at the time.
In subsequent years, section added by information about run of series on polish TV channels RTL7 (in 1998) and on TVP1 (in 2002).

Based on this information I have for many years regularly examined different Polish sites (mainly the forums) and learned again and again any old and new comments on the subject. However, the things that I was able to learn, were the following:
1.The series was shown in the Sunday TV roubric "Tylko w niedzielę" (Only on Sunday), created in the mid-1970s.
2. People remembered the different years of broadcasting, from the mid-1970s until 1979, that led me to the conditional point: the episodes possible were shown at long intervals (also I kept in mind of those very few episodes, they remembered).
3. Episodes with Linda Thorson were also shown in Poland, but since the late 1990s or early 2000s.

This is all! With further research I kept marking time.

Progress in this area has begun sharply this year, with help the website http://pl.staratelewizja.wikia.com
Some of the finds and discoveries were waiting for me there: the names of the episodes in different years (but only one from 1970s) and... The New Avengers in the late 1990s on TV channel RTL 7.
Delving in these studies, I again went on the forums, and spending a lot time, noticed new comments where people remembered such episodes as The Positive Negative Man and The Winged Avenger from 1970s. Curiosity. Rolling Eyes Very-very!
So suddenly I found the Polish newspaper archives, where was able to conduct a thorough study Shocked (previously I tried to find something similar, but the newspapers no had TV shedules or were from later years).

Here result, that managed to detect:

TV Channel TP1 (Sunday days)

Series 4

The Murder Market - 27 February 1977 (20:40)
Man-Eater of Surrey Green - 13 March 1977 (15:50)
Smiertelny sygnal - 27 March 1977 (17:15)
Quick-Quick Slow Death - 24 апреля 1977 (17:10)
The Girl from Auntie - 22 May 1977 (18:00)
What the Butler Saw - 26 June 1977 (18:05)
Too Many Christmas Trees - 28 August 1977 (16:15)
Castle De'ath - 27 November 1977 (17:05)

Series 5

Dead Man's Treasure - 13 November 1977 (17:30)
The Hidden Tiger - 11 December 1977 (17:55)
From Venus with Love - 26 February 1978 (15:40)
The Positive Negative Man - 12 March 1978 (17:55)
The Fear Merchants - 16 April 1978 (17:55)

Unknown

Niesmiertelni - 15 января 1978 (16:15)
? - 29 января 1978 (17:05)

Note:

Unfortunately, it is difficult to say exactly when the episodes with Linda Thorson and TNA were first shown, as is questionable what part of series was aired in 1998 on RTL 7. Sad

At the moment is known:
1. All or part of the color episodes was shown on Polish cable channel ATV in 1995.
2. In 1999, TV channel RTL 7 had already shown the TV series "The New Avengers".
3. From June 24 to August 31, 2002 all the colored episodes were transmitted on channel TVP1 in single-soundtrack Polish translation.

A mystery remains for the episode titles:

Smiertelny sygnal - 27 March 1977 from 4 series
Niesmiertelni - 15 января 1978 - most likely from 5 series

I think, Smiertelny sygnal (Fatal signal) maybe Dial a Deadly Number, because on Wikipedia it is mention as part of block from 1970s. Rolling Eyes Hmm, but maybe it's mistake, of course.

Niesmiertelni (Immortals)
The Living Dead
or
Never, Never Say Die
Confused

What are your suggestions? Smile

Exemplary research as always, Denis! Fascinating to know that "our" series has been seen in all sorts of unexpected places, Poland being just one of them (as anyone will see if they look at Denis' website!).

Thanks, Alan. Smile

Interestingly, Poland was one of the countries, where I noticed there were enough people who warmly recalled it. Subconsciously, I felt that somewhere there could well be a fan group, as some people tried to figure out when and what was shown (page "Rewolwer i Melonik" on Wikipedia is well demonstrated it).

Later, I found an article where a chap of known Polish journalist Zbigniewa Blanię-Bolnara (1948 - 2003), who wrote a scientific book about alien abduction (rather he exposed of people), said that the "theory of hypnosis" in Poland started from one Avengers episode. Very Happy

Fragments of interview
Friend of Zbigniewa Blanię-Bolnara:
...It was a very specific beginning, started after the TV transmission of one episode of the British series "The Avengers," that appeared in the Polish version as "Rewolwer i Melonik" This episode was broadcast in 1979 and began...
...The series "The Avengers," based on a good idea, it's a beautiful girl detective, the guy in a bowler hat, a true British gentleman, and they are struggling with some monstrous criminals, of these evil geniuses...
...that one episode showed degenerate thug who has mastered hypnosis to such an extent that it is literally the eye "paralyzed and turning people into human robots". After this episode, Zbigniew Blania-Bolnar received the first letter of the then "Technical Review", in which he demonstrated the UFO abduction as a job "Wolski hypnotist".

...............................
It seems that talk about the episode "The Master Minds", which is so memorable. Smile Although I could not find this episode in the newspapers, it is possible at some period, the polish TV shedules not specified the some programs in the roubric "Tylko w niedzielę".

................................
I remember, one Polish fan regularly asked on the forumes: "You watched an episode "Man in white boots"? It's "The Positive Negative Man" Very Happy Unfortunately no one answered - perhaps no one remembered. Nevertheless, the episode which most frequently mentioned on Polish forumes was "Man-Eater of Surrey Green". One compared it to Day of the Triffids.
