Thanks for those Geoff, more of a deep dusty rose pink than a true red then. _________________ Replica Avengers Props

While obviously set more in the real world than the original series, I'm quite shocked at just how few film props there are in the New Avengers compared to the 60's series. In fact, 'Last Of The Cybernauts...?' aside, they are virtually non existent ! _________________ Replica Avengers Props

This is rather interesting, I never realized this fact! Maybe it wouldn't have fit the more serious atmosphere of The New Avengers? I think it's quite a shame actually. The props from the original series played a huge part in making each episode so iconic to me. _________________ Steed: "Eee-urp!!" |

I only realised it myself over the last couple of days. There are so many filming props associated with the original series, in fact in many cases there are several unique props per episode that play a critical role in the story. However when it comes to the New Avengers there appears to be less than handful over the entire two year run. Take out 'Last Of The Cybernauts' and you're left with a flute from Cat Amongst The Pigeons, A paper map from Angels of Death and possibly the computer from Complex. I'm sure there are some I've missed, but by comparison to the Avengers there is really nothing of note. _________________ Replica Avengers Props

I found another prop while watching "Faces" tonight. There's a sign which reads: "MISSION For the DISTRESSED & NEEDY". It's not much, but at least something _________________ Steed: "Eee-urp!!" |

Ah yes indeed. Faces is one of my very few New Avengers favourites, but only because Joanna makes me roar with laughter as Lola _________________ Replica Avengers Props

It never ceases to amaze me. Take a really close look at this, Dr. Armstrong's desk monitor is made of nothing more than cardboard covered in wood grain effect sticky back plastic, and not very well done at that. 'Blue Peter' anyone ! I'm tempted to knock one up in my lunch break

I always thought the fairy atop Steed's Christmas tree in 'Too Many Christmas Trees' was a very 'unusual' choice by the production team.
It was in fact a 1st generation Pedigree 1963 Sindy doll wearing a rare dolls 'Undie World 12S02' underwear gift set, which was trimmed with a silver crown and wand.

That's a great find! I thought it could be a Tammy doll, but obviously I was wrong. I searched a bit and found the complete set for the doll on different websites.
This one is on Pinterest
this one on Vectis from 2011 (right, dark blue set)
and the last one is from "Our Cindy's museum", where you can see the dool dressed with the complete set.

Very cool, the last 'undie' set sold recently for over £60.00, and you'll need quite a deep purse to get a 1st generation blonde Sindy doll in good condition these days (any other version isn't accurate). A far cry from what they cost in 1965 I bet You'll need about £150.00 to get yourself a fairy like Steed's this Christmas _________________ Replica Avengers Props

If you want to build yourself a Cybernaut remote control unit like Kane's (Last of the Cybernauts), then for starters you'll need a 1975 Woolworths brown faux crocodile skin LP case, and a very rare version (not the standard one) Panasonic 5" reel to reel tape deck.

Were these control units the most reused props on the show ?
Seen first in You'll Catch Your Death, redressed and used in False Witness, then redressed and used again in Fog.
... And either Steed stole Zaroff's credit card in Who Was That man I Saw You With and used it to spring the door in Stay Tuned, or both he and Zaroff simply use the same card company !
