A dealer acquired various scripts that Peter Wyngarde had collected from the productions he had appeared in over the years and I believe that this is just one of them.

My best friend acquired two of Peter's original suits, one from Dept S and one for Jason King, he paid a fraction of the price for both of those than what that script is being sold for.

Yes, Alan. Shocked
More, this shooting script already was earlier on online in sale and if I remember correctly it costed enough less.

Fortunately, I saved the photos of this script, when this was in online earlier.

For example, one from photo (from site peterwyngarde.wordpress.com)

The original script is a real treasure of memorabilia. Worth its weight in gold - possibly quite literally!
Many thanks, Denis, for preserving photographic copies of the original script and for posting the example photo - I'd love to see the rest of the original A Touch of Brimstone storyline pages with Mantha Peel and Peter Wyngarde's annotations.

2495.00 is a lot of money to ask, especially when you consider Steed's complete navy blue suit as worn in 'From Venus With Love' only sold for a little over 3,000 Wink

A script to The Winged Avenger only reached 113.23 on Ebay during August 2015, so this is vastly overpriced even if it was Peter Wyngarde's.

Fascinating piece of memorabilia. Thanks for sharing. Grossly overpriced though, as many have said. If this had been Patrick or Diana's's script containing their handwritten notes in the margins, which actors always do, then I would have dug deep to raise the cash Exclamation Rich.

Many thanks Denis for posting these wonderful script pages Smile
I agree, Rich, if it had been Diana's personal script with annotations then I might have thought very seriously about going for it Smile

As some of you will have read in the email he sent, Treasure Hunt regular Ben Elshout, from The Netherlands has bought Peter Wyngarde's shooting script to A Touch of Brimstone.

All I can think to say is, 'Hellfire!'

I'm wondering if the same source has Peter's script for Epic and if that will appear for sale.

Congratulations to Ben, I'm sure he'll enjoy owning it. As someone once said to me, an item is worth what someones willing to pay for it, hence it was obviously worth every penny the seller was asking.

Wow, glad it ws one of (a much extended and all-encompassing) "us" rather than some anonymous collector.
I wonder what production information can be gleaned from the pages?

My father gave me a shooting script for The Hour years ago. It belonged to one of the leads but he cannot remember which. The two of them doodled some fun little pictures on the back while waiting to shoot the airbase hangar scene. I was always a bit annoyed by this graffiti art from PM and DR but perhaps it adds to the appeal! And no, it's not for sale, but I'm happy to take and post a picture next time I'm in France.
