I regret to inform that Robert Day, the British TV and movie director, died on March 17, 2017, on Bainbridge Island, Seattle, USA. Crying or Very sad

He was remembered for many works among which were movies The Green Man (1956), Corridors of Blood (1958), First Man Into Space (1959 (film, which was well known in Russia too)), She (1965), television series "Danger Man", "The Invaders", "The Streets of San Francisco", "Kojak", "Dallas".

For Avengerland he gave six wonderful color Emma Peel episodes, in which the skill of the Master is felt:

From Venus with Love
Never, Never Say Die
Return of the Cybernauts
The 50,000 Breakfast
The Positive Negative Man
Mission... Highly Improbable

Mourn and remember. Crying or Very sad

I'm surprised by the lasck of posting here. Robert was a excellent director and his work covered a vast area. He came to my attention with his work on The Avengers, especially the episode from Venus with Love. Somewhat underestimated in my opinion.

That's very sad, he was one of my favourite Avengers directors. It's a shame in a way that he moved to the States as he never got a chance at a big feature film again after he did. Sometimes you're better off in the smaller pond.
