Ian

Again this is very impressive and a perfect reproduction of a sixties British signpost from Avengerland.

That's kind Mike, thank you. I'd also like to build the MITHERING sign post, and either the pink or yellow HI-OCTANE drinks dispenser, and then I think i'll call it a day for this particular episode.

I'm creating a plaster mold of a bottle in order to cast a fibreglass stem for this section of the dispenser.

Ian

Again these look good props to recreate. Mithering was actually Letchmore Heath in the Hertsmere district, not far from Elstree/Borehamwood, and Swingingdale was Aldbury some 20 miles north-west, near Tring. I've been to both many times, although they are now much busier than in the sixties.

Surely not, there's more to do! Smile

Great work though. I've always fancied those drinks dispensers but my home isn't big enough regrettably.

Ah, great thanks. I'll find it when I do the car rally sign trip. I'll jump out the car, erect my Mithering sign, take a quick photo and then scurry off Very Happy

Thank you Ian. Indeed, space is everyone's enemy, which is why I'm only going to create one. My home is starting to look like an Avengers lost & found dept !

Cut out a 33 inch long piece of white acrylic sheet as the basis for the full size 'MITHERING' sign.

I'm going to use an interlocking square post so that it can be broken down if needs be.

Like this ... That way it's easier to transport if I want to take it to the filming location or events.

Ian

These are very good, the Severn Pines sign especially as the lettering on it is far from straight forward.

Thanks. I wouldn't do that Seven Pines sign again if I was paid too. But seeing them all bunched together like that has kept me smiling all day Smile

I'm craving 'Little Storping' but that's a really big one Shocked

Oooooh I shall check it out immediately Very Happy

Such a cool thing to have built, but sadly the screen time is limited to only a few seconds which has left no shot of it in its entirety.

Still needs a good sanding down, silver coating and the studs fitting, but it's pretty much built. The original props were made from galvanised steel 1950's tractor funnels which I would imagine are pretty much impossible to find these days. The only way was to create one from scratch, although obviously not in steel as I don't have the facilities, this ones from plastic, fibreglass and rigid board.
