No, neither of them is Joe Dunne, seen below in "All Done with Mirrors"

I read earlier about Picasa, but never heard about Fotobounce. I will look for curiosity. What programm was the most supportive for you, Piers? Wink

Picasa is the best but it's a discontinued line as Horatio Kane would say so I've been looking for a replacement. Fotobounce and digiKam are the front-runners, although there are several paid options out there for which I ought to try a trial version.

Yes. Joe Dunne in Escape in Time slightly different from the image that we are accustomed to see.

Hmm, I still have this feeling... Confused When I tried to analyze this pic below for the first time, I also had thoughts about Rocky Taylor, but the lower part of the face and the nose is actually closer to Joe Dunne, I come to result.
This is one of the cases when it would be desirable that the quality of filmed Avengers episodes be accessible even better than at the Blu Ray.

Many thanks for information, Piers. I'll read about Picasa again, in more detail.

I used to have Joe Dunne listed as redcoat/footman but now I'm not sure so I changed it. The powdered wigs certainly don't help.

Very Happy Back to topic, after long pause.

Sudden interesting finding, thanks to the book "Bowler Hats and Kinky Boots" by Mike Richardson.

The book indicates several performers who participated in the episode The Great Great Britain Crime, but they do not appear in the credits on the screen of Homicide and Old Lace.

List includes:
Tom Gill (Hobson)
Jennifer White
Rosemary Reede
Bill Sawyer

While it was clearly that the character of Tom Gill was completely cut, there were doubts for other mentioned performers in the list.

I began a detailed study and came to the following conclusions:

1. Actress Jennifer White appears on screen!!! Yes, dear Avengers fans, she plays such a small role on the background that in a literal sense you can skip her if you will blink at the right moment. Very Happy

She plays one of controller in Intercrime.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. As for the actress Rosemary Reede, I have the following assumption:

Most likely she played role of receptionist in Intercrime, as book "Bowler Hats and Kinky Boots" indicates that Sadie Evan was stunt double for Rosemary.
In the episode, we see Linda overturning the table with the receptionist.

I think, person on picture below maybe Sadie Evan, while Rosemary's role was probably completely cut.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. As for Bill Sawyer, he definitely plays the role of a person in the picture below, when Steed pushes the man away from the car.

Perhaps Bill Sawyer played the character entirely, but it is difficult to identify. Confused

Jennifer White

Played in such movies as A Stitch in Time and Casino Royale (1967). Played nurse in many episodes of the series The Human Jungle.

Born: February, 1943 in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales, UK

Grapes on a pizza? What am I like? We've already identified the first of these as Ken Buckell.

Ken Buckell, interesting. I'm guessing, this is one who often went in credits as Ken Buckle.

Yes, actually. Confused This is clearly Ken (Buckle/Buckell) as window cleaner in episode Super Secret Cypher Snatch.

Sad It's a pity that we know little about him, Piers.

Today I analyzed the episode The Charmers.

I found the photo of Derek Hunt in the newspaper The Stage (from 1957), and doing the study came to following conclusion:

Derek played the role Simpkins, definetely.

Trevor Ainsley is one of Snob (pic below)

Thanks Denis! If you can find Paul Read and James Darwin we can close that episode as fully credited.

Hmm, although James Darwin is in the episode The Sell-Out, I still can not find two alike faces. Confused Moreover, the difficulties with identifying Graham Cruickshank in mentioned episode too.

Graham Cruickshank

Maybe one is the chef, and the other is the barman. Confused

As for Brian MacNeil, I think you're right, Piers, he played Dickson in episode The Charmers.

I think this is the only contender to be James Darwin unless it's that elusive barman; I'll see if I can get a better shot of him.

My 1968 Spotlight confirms Graeme Cruickshank is the narrow-chinned reporter. (Which explains why he later grew a beard)

(REF: p. 1189 of Spotlight No. 121 - Part One: Actors Spring 1968)

(I think the chef may be Phillip Webb again and Henry Rayner may also be the hotel porter)

Even though I do not think that this is Graeme, I agree that he rather played a reporter than the chef, for example. Well, this sheet with extras was more likely to involve the participants who were present in the studio, I think. Simply the chief is the most close in form of face to Graham and James Darwin from my view, but by logic mentioned person is one of the most exclude extras. Hmm...

I still do not have any specific ideas for these two, Graeme and James.

Great, Piers. I follow Spotlight only through Google Books Wink - that is, I am able to read information, but not see the images.

I completely agree with you - according to this image in Spotlight there is only one extra like it. Wink

Cheers!!! Razz

I realized who is James Darwin.

The problem is why there was not able to do this previously was as follows:

The actor below was identified as Jack Grossman, and I did not check about it.

Today I rewatched the episode The Sell-Out and found I was sure that this actor was one of those who was in The Charmers.

Actually! Real Jack Grossman is on picture below:

The situation with James Darwin is solved.

Result:

The Sell-Out

James Darwin

----------------------------------------------------------------

The Charmers

James Darwin

(similar form of ears, nose, chin, dimple on cheeks, eyes, haircut, etc)

Paul Read (by the logic)

I had the same thought but discounted it as Jack doesn't have that cleft in the chin afaik. Nonetheless, I went through the episode. Jack And this actor have many features in common and there was only one shot where I could see a distinctive cleft in the chin. BUT they both have that shadow on the left cheek.
So Jack and James may be the same person and I need to double check.

I have updated The Charmers and The Sell-out but have reserved any alteration to Death on the Rocks for now.

Indeed, same actors sometimes differ so much in the films, even in a small time break, it is difficult to come to the certainties.
I started for James Darwin from point, I noticed that real Jack Grossman has other ears and a more elongated face from my view. Hmm Confused
