Just watched this gain and found it very difficult to enjoy, my attention kept drifting away to other episodes I have enjoyed more. I frankly did not care about the suitcase. Couple of nice scenes, but thought the end with the dummy suitcases very contrived |

7/10
This is one of those episodes where the premise gives opportunity for some great Avengers touches. Sadly Terry Nation doesn't take advantage of the set up for great locations and a variety of eccentrics. Tara's visit to the crypt and Steed's to the dance school are the best.
Penelope Keith is the star for me (shame she was edited from Something Nasty in the Nursery). I watched her screaming episode on a loop the first time.
The direction isn't up to Robert Fuest's best. There are still some nice sequences but it's not as stylish as I expect from him. I don't think he was too inspired by the script.
There's an issue with the closing bad guy unveiling. Steed and Mother are discussing Steed having just surprisingly discovered Mother as the recipient of the case and then the villain arrives and the fake tape message plays but Steed and Mother have had no time to set it up - it's like there should be a break in the between but there isn't. Poor writing.
But it's very watchable. |

Clearly not to everyone's taste then.
A very rare 10 from me, I thought this was near perfect.
Each to their own. |

It’s a while since I watched it but I seem to remember liking it. Not top notch but certainly enjoyable. An 8 from me. _________________ "No ma'm, I'm a Texan." |
