I just discovered, thanks to newspaper The Stage, that the famous actor of small roles, Paul Phillips, died in 1976 (this is not mentioned in well-known forums, film and TV bases (including Aveleyman) and other famous Internet websites).

A note on his death was published in The Stage twice:

The Stage (6 November 1976)
PAUL PHILLIPS Died suddenly. Funeral: 5th November 2.00 p.m Putney Vale Crematorium.

and

The Stage (18 November 1976)
ACKNOWLEDGMENT PAUL PHILLIPS
Eden Fox and Family wish to thank all friends and BBC staff for their floral tributes and sympathy during their bereavement.

Eden Fox was a close friend of Paul and participated in many TV and film works with him.

Paul appeared in two Avengers episodes, at least.

as Bureaucrat in Death's Door

and as Guinea Pig in You'll Catch your Death

Filmography of Paul on IMDb:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1706934/

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried to find Paul's data and came to the conclusion that maybe he is:

Paul Alfred Phillips

Born: February 1911
Died: 29 October 1976 in London, England, UK

Confused It is necessary to check in more detail.
