This may have already been discussed on the forum but a search turns up nothing. In The Correct Way to Kill, Emma says something to Steed as she's leaving his flat with Ivan (Philip Madoc). I assume it's Russian. Can any of our Russian members of the forum tell us what Emma says? Thanks!

And speaking of Emma's use of languages other than English. In The Hidden Tiger, when Steed shows Emma the PURRR booklet with the committee members (almost all of whom are now dead), Emma says, "Par chan [?] for committee members. Now who's for dessert?" A French term, I believe, but I can't pin it down. Anyone know what she said?

Emma speaks Russian with an accent: "До свидания, товарищ" (Goodbye, comrade). Wink

Hello, I'm a French fan. In The Hidden Tiger, Emma says "Pas de chance", which means "Bad luck".

Thanks! I've just started studying French for fun (Pimsleur program) but had no idea what she said. Makes perfect sense! Merci.

The old joke slogan for Air France was "Air France, Pas de chance"
