The Website Steedumbrella presented the TV premiere of series in the Argentina. Surprise for many fans - it's presented more broadly than in Argentina Los Vengadores website!
Enjoy! Very Happy

For comparison (website "Los Vengadores"): Wink

In Argentina, the series in Argentina was presented for the first time in 1967. Then it was in different T.V. Channels until the mid 70s. At 1983, the series was back but only the color seasons. In 1999, we could enjoy the serie again and could see all the seasons till 2004, incluiding Honor Blackman episodes. It´s a pity they are not in Argentine T.V. now.

I’m sorry for bringing back to life such an old thread, but I have just come across a magazine clipping that a friend of mine has been kind to share with me. It shows what might very well be the date of the first time the Tara King episode “The Curious Case of the Countless Clues” was broadcast in Argentina: Tuesday 22 (April or June) 1969. I think it might have been in June as the magazine provides a schedule for the different channels that existed back then and many shows about space exploration are listed in it (and the Apollo 11 mission was a just a month in the future).

When the series was shown again in full in Argentinian TV (albeit cable) after a long hiatus between 1999 and 2000, that episode (along with a couple of Cathy Gale ones) was not aired and back then there was no known evidence to prove if it had been shown at all on an earlier date.

Nevertheless, that first-in-a-while run was quite remarkable in itself as it was not only the first time we got to see the Cathy Gale era but it was also the first time the series was broadcast in English (although with subtitles in Spanish); it is customary in Argentinian TV to dub dialog to Spanish, and The Avengers had not been exempted from this practise till then.

Many thanks for sharing information about it, Brugeoise. Razz

I found that this episode was repeated in Argentina on the same TV channel on December 9, 1969.

Wow, thanks! Many people in Argentina still remember watching the show at midnight on Canal 13 (Channel 13) of Buenos Aires, where it run on prime time on different time slots from 1967 till 1969. In 1974, the Tara King season aired on Canal 9, also at midnight.

Back in those days, TV broadcasts in Argentina were still monochrome (they switched to colour between 1978 and 1980) so the show was not seen in colour until the mid 1980s.

Very interesting information, I will post this on Steedumbrella when the website is rehabilitated (hopefully I start this month). Section on repeated Avengers/TNA runs in different parts of the world is added to the plan. Wink
