Mousemeat, many thanks for double congratulation, and that you find it useful for "education". Yes, I wrote the word "study" on purpose, because after my work with Alan Hayes on the section "Who's Who?" for Randall and Hopkirk website, I really studied new things that helped me study how to work better with this topic. In general, I regularly visited this section in last times to do some of the work for Alan and IMDb. _________________ Denis |

Wow, great to see that Peter Cellier is probably still alive. One of my favourite guest actors in many series. I did think he might've passed on from old age but it would be good if he's still about. _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |

I concur with you on this...and info like this helps people to understand how vital and important this series was...in my opinion...everything from scripts, location, and acting was top notch |

Added actress Kay Hawtrey (uncredited role as a Shopkeeper in episode The Gladiators) to the section Living actors and actresses (data for 2020).

Yes, this demonstrates perfectly that prolific or well-known performer can play a small role or even appear as an extra on any TV and film product (as for the second, as a rule, this is due to the heavy editing). A good example, the participation of actress Jennifer White as a controller in the Avengers episode Homicide and Old Lace.
It is hardly possible to see her in the background without even blinking if you do not have this episode in good quality.

She may have had a bigger role in the original Great Great Britain Crime before it was butchered/"rescued" to make Homicide and Old Lace. Similarly Christopher Lee would not have been in it at all! (Stock footage in his case) _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |

I'm sure Jennifer White had a bigger role in the original Great Great Britain Crime. Somewhere there was Rosemarie Reede too, whose role seems to have been cut out entirely in Homicide and Old Lace. And we can assume that the performer in the image below might be Sadie Evan who doubled Rosemarie. If so, we get a funny picture: Rosemarie was cut in Homicide and Old Lace, but her stunt double was no.

It sometimes seems that this depth has no bottom, today it is revealed that Deсima Rickard's sister, Elaine, appeared on The Avengers as Linda's stand-in and extra in many episodes. Deсima participated as Linda's double too.
More details here.

Wow, I'd forgotten Larry Lamb was in The New Avengers. Still very much alive and kicking. Mind you, he is in the episode I'd most like to forget.... Trap! _________________ Last watched: "The Medicine Men" |
