Howard Blake didn't do the whole of season six, only the episodes that Johnson couldn't do.

Laurie Johnson wrote new music for: (with the odd recycled cue)
Invasion of the Earthmen
Curious Case of the Countless Clues
Forget-Me-Knot
Split
Get-A-Way
Look Stop Me if you've heard this one...
You'll Catch Your Death
Legacy of Death
They Keep Killing Steed
The Morning After
Love All
Fog
Homicide and Old Lace
Pandora
Bizarre

Howard Blake wrote music for: (with the odd recycled cue)
Whoever Shot Poor George..
My Wildest Dream
Game
Super Secret Sypher Snatch
All Done With Mirrors
Noon Doomsday
Wish You Were Here
The Interrogators
Take Me To Your Leader
Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

Episodes with no new scores and just complete recycling:
Have Guns Will Haggle
False Witness
Killer
The Rotters
Stay Tuned
Thingumajig
Requiem
Take Over

always enjoyed the misc scores by Laurie Johnson..especially in the avengers...and He did a great job putting the score for Kubrick's cold war comedy, Dr. Strangelove....

Hard to go past Trap. I'd nominate The Grandeur that was Rome and Immortal Clay as contenders, with Trojan Horse as an outsider.

For Steed fans, Trap was terrific! He's injured, only in a shirt, active with Purdey, mussed hair. Just wonderful to watch. The idiocy of the rest of the plot is pretty bad, though, I agree!

I actually think Second sight is a good episode. How funny we all have different tastes! My vote for Honor's weakest episode is Death a la carte. The bodyguard plot is very simple. There's none of the quirkiness we usually expect in The Avengers. I'm also glad the unflattering wig Honor wore in this episode didn't hang around too long Exclamation

Second Sight is one of my favourites:D

The ultimate plot may be unremarkable but it's all about the characters and their interactions, the design and of course my favourite, Peter Hammond's direction!

I recently saw TRAP again. What a dud! You'd except some reveal at the end that it's a ministry training, that they are not in China, the woods look soooo European. No external stock footage of an aeroplane, no build up in Steed, P & G relation with the baddies. It's just very poorly written and I suspect this was the "cheapy" of the production block.

Second Sight is classic Avengers, the blind millionaire, eccentric set. Slightly fantastical plot. It's quite confined (everything indoors, people talking a lot) which makes it look low quality production, but its a good episode.

my gut feeling that the New Avengers was under financed..and really never had the capitol to do episodes as they really saw fit. especially for the 2nd and final season...sorta a shame...it could have been so much more...Still. it's better than no Avengers.....

Worst Cathy Gale: Killer Whale, Conspiracy of Silence, or Outside In Man
Worst Emma: Mission: Highly Improbable or Who's Who?
Worst Tara: Homicide & Old Lace
