Sad news. Our lovely client Harry Landis has passed to spirit. Harry had an amazing career and gained a new following in later life as Mr Morris in Friday Night Dinner. It was a privilege to have worked with him as a client. Harry you will be sadly missed. RIP.

Harry Landis was president of Equity, the UK actors union, for six years.

He appeared as Harry in the Avengers episode The Little Wonders (1964).

That is sad news.

He was in loads of things that I have in my DVD collection, from Whodunnit to The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, Man in a Suitcase, and Lovejoy. Acting on our screen right up to fairly recently with an appearance in hospital drama Casualty (in 2018), 32 years after his first appearance in the show (1986)!

IMDB says he was even an extra in Quatermass II in 1955. What a history in television! Legend.

RIP.

All the episodes of Friday Night Dinner are on Britbox so I'm having a catch-up. Tamsin Greig got a best comedy actress award for the show, I believe; she's perfect in it. I always liked Robert Popper's writing since the first series of "Look Around You" which had me in stitches.
